PARADISE ON PORTER in the Truman Annex

Paradise on Porter is a wonderful vacation townhome located in the desirable Truman Annex area of downtown Key West.  This townhome is very convenient to all there is to do in downtown Key West. Leave your car at home because you can walk, bike or scooter to almost anywhere you want to go.

This lovely 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhome is nicely appointed with stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer, and a covered seating area outside. The living area has comfortable seating and a flat screen TV. The French doors open up onto the spacious deck and nicely landscaped yard. Upstairs are two bedrooms each with and ensuite bathroom, standard bed, and ample closet space. The laundry is in the upstairs hallway for convenience. 

The Truman Annex Waterfront Park is close by with walking paths, open areas to play or relax, or bring the kids to the splash pad or park to play. Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach are also close by and offer picnic areas with grills. The beach areas are great for snorkeling and sunbathing. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent as well as a full concession stand and restrooms.

Enjoy the quaintness of this fabulous neighborhood on your next visit to Key West and be right near all there is to do on our island. This is a weekly rental.  
One parking spot per unit - No Trucks or oversized vehicles - Campers or motorhomes not allowed on property. Sorry no pets allowed per HOA.

Do we have to go home?!?

Clean! Quiet and Functional!The unit was spotless, appliances were up to date and maintained. Plenty of towels, extra bedding and kitchen /bath supplies were such a plus traveling with kids, it’s great to use the place like it’s a home not a hotel. It’s a good location from the pool as well, just far enough away you don’t get all the pool noise. Which allows a relaxing porch sit!

Perfect getaway!

The property was exactly as listed. Had everything we needed to feel like it was our own. Having the grill was a plus so we could do most of are own cooking. The location is perfect as where is close to duval street and all the activities but, just far enough away from all the comotion for a peaceful night. Thanks so much for a great stay and hope the city changes their mind about weekly rentals and we can stay here again!

Great Little Place in the Truman Annex

This is a nice little condo in a great neighbor. Within walking distance or golf cart ride to everything in Key West. Beds were comfortable, appliances worked. Nice to have washer/dryer. Great Place! (Only suggestion would be to add a Keurig coffee machine. Drip machines have gone by the wayside!)

Paradis on Porter

We loved our accommodations. Everything was very clean. The location was close to everything by walking or biking. We appreciated the security of a gated community. We are looking forward to coming back and would not hesitate to recommend our rental to family and friends.

Great VRBO rental

Stayed for a week for Fantasy Fest. Location is perfect, easily walkable to Duval. Up to date property. 2 separate bedrooms each with its own bathroom, plenty of room. Cold AC. Well appointed rental with last everything you need for the week. Only 2 small issues - WiFi network was listed incorrectly in the online portal, but was correct in the physical binder in the unit (minor issue). One of the keys in one of the sets of the keys didn’t work, so we only had one functional set, but again, a minor issue. I would stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful place, spacious, clean, nice and quiet and a really nice pool. Walking distance to most everything. Only issue we had was parking so if you have a car and rent a golf cart or anything it's a hassle since there is only one parking spot and not much parking on the island. Other than that this place was AWESOME! Would definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

Enjoyed Paradise on Porter

The place is cute. It is located in a safe-feeling and well maintained neighborhood surrounded by beautiful shrubbery. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch and drinking our morning coffee. The place is equipped with all the amenities we needed. It is perfect for two couples. The best part is its GREAT LOCATION! We did not rent a car and didn’t need one. From the townhouse it is an easy walk to everything Key West has to offer.

Perfect place for a week's stay

Awesome location, very walkable to Duval and tons of restaurants but far enough away to keep noise to a minimum. Love that the bedrooms are all upstairs so separated from others staying up late in the common areas.

Great location

This was a cute little place to stay with a great location. It was easy to walk to everything on and near Duval St. The pool was well kept up and the staff was very responsive and helpful. I would stay here again.

Safe area for a fun vacation!

Clean unit close to the waterfront and Duval Street. Sunsets at Truman Park were amazing and most things we wanted to do were within walking distance. You won't go wrong staying here!

Clean, quiet property in a perfect location

A two-story condo in the gated Truman Annex neighborhood, only two blocks from central Duval St, within easy walking distance of of restaurants, bars, and attractions of Key West. Although most of the units are rentals, the complex is very quiet and homey, with a community pool a few hundred feet away. There were a few minor maintenance issues (ceiling fan pull in the rear bedroom, loose kitchen faucet) but nothing that ruined our experience. We were, however, without hot water our first night, until we discovered a switch in the water heater cabinet that had been turned off. Our only other disappointment was that the propane tank on the grill was empty, stopping us from using it. Uber drivers are challenged by the address, wanting to drop you off at the closed gate on Flemming and Thomas. Make sure that they enter at the main gate, one block south, so that they can drop you off right at the walkway to the condo. We were two couples. The size of the unit was perfect, with a comfy couch, ample dining area, and fenced-in rear deck. The stair treads are narrower than code, so take your time on them. It would have been nicer if we could have used the lockbox to access the condo without having to stop at the office first, and if there had been a key-drop on property when we checked out. Instead, we had to Uber back to the property managers office on White St., too far to walk. Overall, a great place. We would return without hesitation.

Great location!

Space had everything we needed. Close walk or bike ride to everything but far enough away to provide a quiet, safe atmosphere! One recommendation I would offer is to have keyless entry so we didn’t need to pick up or drop off our keys. It was easy to do but another stop for our Uber driver:)

We had a lovely stay at Paradise on Porter. Property is very nice and clean. Location is great for a no-car, walking vacation. We did have some initial issues with the air conditioner upon our arrival, but we could not have asked for more from the folks at Key West Hideaways: responsive, proactive, and interactive throughout the remedy process (thanks Linda, Kevin & Dave!) AC was fixed on first day so we could enjoy a really COOL 😎 stay in Key West at Paradise on Porter.

Buried Info, Fouled Up Check In, A Little Dirty

The property was great. Went to the address given through VRBO to learn a visit to the rental office was required (despite an onsite lock box). There was NO communication/heads up through VRBO, which is where I was paying attention. Paid for a cab to and from the office to clear the issue and was (rudely) told the substandard protocol had been "emailed to me 5 times." (it wasn't) Touch points (door handles, light switches, etc) were dirty. No soap in a bathroom. Broken frame in a bedroom made me worried I'd be charged, so I took a pic. Crisp sheets, clean towels, great to have a pool! Just a little "off" compared to other VRBO experiences.
