Athena by the Sea is a single-level beachfront home designed for relaxed coastal living and easy family getaways. Located directly on St. Augustine Beach, this three-bedroom, two-bath home offers unobstructed views of the sand, sea, and sky, along with a private walkway that leads straight from the backyard to the beach.

Inside, the home features a modern open floor plan that brings everyone together. The living area and dining space both enjoy ocean views, making it easy to gather for movie nights, shared meals, or simply watching the waves roll in. The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking and opens naturally to the main living space, keeping the group connected throughout the stay.

All three bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged on one level for convenience, and the two full bathrooms provide comfort and functionality for families or small groups. A full-size washer and dryer are available in the home, and all bed and bath linens are provided for your stay.

One of the highlights of Athena by the Sea is the screened-in back porch, furnished with ample seating and positioned to capture views in both directions along the shoreline. Home was clean and well equipped! You can’t see the ocean from the phone because of the sand dunes but once you get to the beach it’s a great view. Could still hear the ocean from the home which was great. Property manager was responsive and helpful.

The property itself is clean, the check in was easy, and they very detailed instructions on check out, which was very nice. However the issue we had with the property is that there was hidden fee, and we were charged 100 more for having 8 guests, which we were not notified of until they pulled the money from my bank. We were told after that any guests over 7 (the property only stated it could hold so many guests, not that there were extra charges) is 100 more. And they would not make it right. The only issue we have with the property itself is that the “private walkout” doesn’t go all the way to the beach, it stops at a huge sand dune that even blocks the view of the beach. Which is disappointing because the private walkout out was the only reason we booked the place.

Thank you for the kind words about the cleanliness, check-in, and checkout instructions — glad those went smoothly. We do want to clarify the guest fee: the additional charge for bookings with more than 8 guests is disclosed and must be acknowledged before a booking can be completed on Vrbo. It isn't applied after the fact or hidden — it's a required step in the booking process itself, so we're not sure how it would have gone unnoticed. On the walkway: the private walkover provides direct beach access from the property, but it has never extended all the way across the dune to the open sand — that's simply the nature of a beach walkover on this stretch of coast, not a change from what's listed. We understand the dune blocking the view was disappointing, but it's consistent with how the walkway has always worked. We appreciate the detailed feedback and hope you'll consider us again.

This was a quick check in and the stay was amazing! The kitchen has everything you need! We had 4 adults and 2 kids. It’s a perfect location to downtown and there was a dollar general and Winn Dixie close by! Marty’s house was so clean and very home feeling! We will definitely be staying again with him! The sunsets and sunrises from this house were breathtaking!

Excellent property,clean, on quiet circle drive neighborhood tucked back in corner with private walkway to beach. Beach little crowded on weekend, but during week fine. Anastasia island has everything you need. Many excellent restaurants,grocery,surf shops, ebike rentals,ice cream and mini golf among other things. We never left the island.
