Welcome to The Octopus Garden! Inspired by the Beatles song, this stylish home is the ultimate family getaway. The open floor-plan upstairs opens up to the spacious deck. Downstairs, the bar area opens to a shady spot to cool off with a frozen drink. This home is fully stocked with beach chairs, toys, tents, and umbrellas. Toss a cooler in the beach wagon and it's a short, 5 minute walk to Pirates Beach! Rinse off in the outdoor shower, power up the margarita machine, and throw something on the BBQ!
Rest assured there is plenty of room for all your friends and family at this 4-bedroom beauty. With 2 queen beds, 1 king bed, and 2 sets of bunk beds, this wonderful property has it all. You'll find everything you need, from a washing machine to WiFi, to make your stay convenient and enjoyable. The 3 bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers and showers. One bath also includes a bathtub. Plus, there are 2 additional living rooms with sofa beds for extra sleeping. Immerse yourself in the cool vibes of this vacation rental and book now to enjoy everything this house has to offer. Disclaimer: Please be aware that there are two surveillance cameras on the property. They are there for the safety and security of our guests as well as the property. One is pointed toward the driveway and the other at the downstairs entrance door. Please do not move or disable the cameras as it will incur a $200 fine. This beach house satisfied the needs of two adults and six teens flawlessly. Erin has thought through every need you would ever have and the property functions amazingly. Walk to the beach is a piece of cake - 5 minutes. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. We loved it and will be back.

Great getaway!

The house was perfect for our family vacation. It was well equipped with everything you’d need from the kitchen to the beach. We had 4 kids in the group and they loved the bunk bed room and reading the octopus books every night!

It was so lovely, we went back again the next weekend! Lived the bookcase, with a great selection. And coffee & tea wizard station, right next to the fridge. Really well set up. Plus, the great decor in the back two bedrooms (upstairs) and the kiddo books about octopuses, in theme with whole house, in the bunk bed room. (Tbh, the downstairs was WAY too over perfumed with a febreze-type obnoxious substance: could not shut that down. No one wanted to stay down there for more than a few mins. ) But all the beach equipment & wagon was really appreciated!

Perfect Beach Weekend at The Octopus Garden

Our group of 11 had such an amazing time at The Octopus Garden! The house was super comfortable and had plenty of space for everyone to relax. The best part was how close it was to the beach. It was just a short walk and we were there every day. We spent the weekend enjoying the sun, hanging out by the water, and making great memories together. It was the perfect spot for a fun and easygoing getaway.

Family Vacation

We had a fantastic time at the property. It was very clean upon arrival and it had everything we needed for an easy stay away from home and while on vacation. We loved how the place was set up with several rooms for multiple families. It was an easy walk or drive to the beach and that's where we spent most of our time while in Galveston. We would recommend this place to family and friends, it was a great location and the perfect spot for our kids/grandkids to experience the beach for the first time!

Great Island Getaway

Absolutely love this property. The short distance to the beach was a pleasant stroll and the beach itself was perfect for our weekend getaway. The house was amazing and the owner thought through everything a family with kids could need. Right down to the Octopus story books!! But it is also a perfect getaway for a group of adults just wanting to chill island style. Highly recommend this property for a vacation get away!!

100% the best rental we’ve ever booked. Clean, clean, clean! Amy is a wonderful host! Way more than you’ll ever need for your stay, complimentary toiletries to get you started, k- cups, board games, extra trash bags and beach items (tarps, chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, wagons to haul it). When I say beach items, this place is stocked - no need to bring or buy anything! Thanks Amy for sharing your amazing beach house with us:)

Fun Location

We had some issues with a musty smell in the basement and cleanliness upon arrival, but Amy was excellent to work with and had good communication the entire weekend to remedy any concerns. The house is a couple blocks away from the beach. Our 2 year olds were able to walk the entire way easily. Great extras such as beach toys, wagon, towels, games & books were appreciated. The bunk room was great for the kids. We really enjoyed staying in the upstairs area but if we went again, probably would plan to just not use the basement except for laundry.

We have kept the mini-splits running downstairs to deal with the musty smell and I have purchased a dehumidifier. I am told the smell is gone and I will continually work to improve the moisture in this beach climate. I value your feedback and would love to have you back! Thanks

Pirates Beach is a very special place. Not only is it a short drive into the bustling heart of Galveston with its fun shopping and amazing restaurants, it is also far enough out of the way that you can avoid the crowded beaches that accompany the seawall. We love our home and its location as it is just a short walk (5 minutes, we timed it!) to the beach.

Octopus Garden is a special place for so many reasons. A lot of care has gone into unique touches and upgraded amenities to make your stay a memorable one. Take the downstairs entertainment area for instance. Whether it's day or night, you and your loved ones can open the roll up window, gain access to the bar (and margarita maker!), swing on the four individual hammocks, or lounge on the comfortable outdoor furniture set. Even more outdoor living and entertaining awaits you on the deck upstairs where you will find four beautiful adirondack chairs, and a dining table for six. No expense has been spared in this home. Everything you could ever want or need for a fun beach day is available to you. Need coffee before a day on the beach? Both a Keurig as well as a full size coffee maker are at your disposal. Want to cook elaborate dinners in the kitchen? No worries, it is fully stocked and ready for you! Enjoy the beautiful updated bathrooms, and the comfortable beds for a perfect stay, no matter what time of year!
