From our family to yours! Our "Bear Necessities" Cabin Retreat is nestled in the gated community of Powder Horn Mountain in Deep Gap, NC. Offering tons of outdoor space and community amenities such as a clubhouse, game room, pool, playground, fitness center, 3 lakes, paddle boats, tennis, basketball private campground, hiking trails & much more! The perfect place to experience the best of the High Country. Close to Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, West Jefferson & other quaint mountain towns!

Surrounded by views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, our cozy cabin sleeps 8 with 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms. The lower level offers a living area, queen bedroom, full bathroom & laundry room. The upper level opens up to those Blue Ridge Mountain views with the living room, dining room, fully stocked kitchen (Keurig coffee maker), full bathroom, 1 queen bedroom and another bedroom with a bunk bed consisting of a twin over full bed and a twin trundle. Grill out on the back deck and relax on the front deck.

Community amenities include gated entry, seasonal pool, clubhouse with fitness center, game room (pool table, ping pong, foosball, games & more), tennis courts, basketball court, disc golf, and a network of hiking trails! Enjoy the community campground, creek walk or paddle boat in 1 of the 3 private lakes.

Just a short drive to all that High Country has to offer. Approximately 20 mins to Boone, 35 mins to Blowing Rock, 40 mins to Banner Elk & West Jefferson.
