This memorable cottage is the perfect home base for your trip to Northern Michigan. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this newly built (2023) log house offers a cozy retreat for guests. With 3 bedrooms, including a king bed and 2 bunk beds (full/xl and twin/xl) there's plenty of space for everyone to relax and recharge. The cottage features modern amenities like WiFi, a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, heating and A/C ensuring a comfortable stay. Full kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, range, oven, microwave, coffee-maker, tea-pot, dishwasher, cups, plates, silverware. The 2 bathrooms are equipped with showers and hair dryer for your convenience. Enjoy a peaceful evening on the porch with magnificent view of lake Huron, walk on the beach for miles, or explore local trails and several nature preserves, bring your own kayak or mountain bike - opportunities are endless.
Town of Alpena is 15 minutes away.

If you really want to get away from it all, this is the place. Gorgeous and very comfortable log home. Situated amongst the pines, away from the main road and steps from the beach. We truly appreciated the serenity, privacy, and nature!! Lots of snow, but road and driveway were always plowed, making it so easy for us to drive 10-15 min into town for food/groceries. We loved trekking around the property and beach with our dog Luna- she had so much fun! Strong WiFi, even during heavy snow/wind. Nice hot showers; very new and clean home. Comfy beds and quality linens. Dishwasher was a plus. Thank you to Sergey and Marina for being such gracious and accommodating hosts. We can’t wait to return!

We had an amazing stay here! The area was picturesque and the cabin had all of the amenities we needed. We had the best time with our toddler walking up and down the beach hunting rocks, listening to the waves in the morning while drinking coffee on the porch, and walking the nearby nature trails. The cabin is the perfect place for a family to stay and have a fun, relaxing getaway in pure Michigan.

We had a wonderful stay at this Alpena gem! The house was very clean and welcoming. The private beach was definitely private and relaxing. Very rocky beach, which was great for us as we love to rock hunt. We had a great time exploring the area!

The house was absolutely gorgeous and immaculate. Loved the location as it was very private and peaceful. Thoroughly enjoyed walking the beach and sifting through the rocks. What an amazing secluded property! The cabin was beautiful and clean. The views were stunning. Overall it was just a really special place that my wife and I enjoyed very much. I would definitely come back here. Sergey was a wonderful host and made everything very easy.

We had a lovely time. We enjoyed combing the beach for unique rocks and drift wood. The cabin was the perfect size and layout for our family, and close to the shoreline.

Serene Beauty

Marina and Sergey’s beach-front cabin is a beauty. The location is serene - far enough away from town for stillness and relaxation, yet close enough to amenities and activities. The cabin is newly built, open and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

Petoskey stone heaven, just grab a couple for a souvenir. Strong internet, owner friendly and helpful. There’s a few condiments, ice cream, etc in frig. He encourages you to use it! Good mattress , great bath towels. Back up generator kicked on for a few minutes while while we were there. Water filter at the sink, kayak and canoe. It gave my spouse some peace from unavoidable changes at work to be there. Also, there are curtains in bedrooms and bathroom, I couldn’t be sure from the photos. You’ll love it.

This cabin rental is gorgeous, clean and in such a beautiful, peaceful setting along Thunder Bay in Lake Huron. We loved our stay here and just wish it could’ve lasted longer. Sergey was a most welcoming and helpful host. We really appreciate the owners opening up their home for us to enjoy a truly relaxing time. It’s a beautiful piece of Heaven here on earth.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful week at Marina’s Lake Cabin! The house was lovely, clean and comfortable. It was a good home base for our treks to area hiking trails and lighthouses. We enjoyed the kayak, fire pit, and collecting rocks on beach. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Enjoyed much time on the porch and walking the bay. We went rock collecting for unique rocks to add to rock garden at home. The home was relaxing and comfortable. My husband does use a walker at times. The open concept accommodated his walker.

Tranquility

We had a lovely time at Marina’s cabin. Everything we needed was available and the cabin was beautiful. The beach was clean, the water was clear. Sergey provided excellent directions and suggested a few places we could visit close by. We were visited by some deer, saw a pileated woodpecker, and a few song birds. It was just what we needed to relax and unwind. Thank you for sharing this special place!

Perfect Getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay at Marina’s cabin. It is a lovely, comfortable home right on Lake Huron with all you need to simply relax and enjoy life. There is much to do and see in the area but we mainly stayed “home” and soaked in the beauty of the beach and Lake Huron. Beautiful sunsets, the Milky Way at night and we even got to see the Northern Lights. Also, it is rockhound’s dream location! Sergey is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed. We have stayed at many, many VRBO homes over the years and this one is at the top. We do plan to return!!!

Beautiful cottage, relaxing stay

We stayed in this cottage for seven nights and absolutely enjoyed it. The cottage was cozy and very clean. We had basically everything we needed for our stay. The beach is steps away. The whole area is peaceful and quiet. A morning coffee on the porch with the water view, and night soothing wave music was so comforting and relaxing. The town is just 15-20 minutes away, if you want to try some restaurants or get a little more supplies for your stay. Sergay and Marina were great hosts. They were friendly and helpful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us, we had a wonderful stay!

Lake Huron getaway

Loved the cabin, loved the beach. Cabin was a nice open concept, ane you cannot beat Lake Huron water. Owner was extremely nice and hospitable. Loved the bonus goodies w the stay. No brainer for a family stay on Lake Huron or a couple.
