Cette maison de 3000 pieds carrés est située au milieu de la forêt nationale de Cherokee et offre une vue sur la crête du sentier des Appalaches depuis le porche. Situé au milieu de cette petite ville d'un peu moins de 1000 habitants, offre un petit restaurant et un magasin de campagne à la vue et à distance de marche de la maison. Une vue imprenable sur les montagnes entoure complètement la maison qui offre un grand terrain plat pour les activités. Y compris une zone de feu de camp - tables et chaises de parasol - Filet de jeu - fosses de chaussures de cheval, etc. Un total de 4 chambres, 3 avec lits queen, 1 avec 2 lits jumeaux. 3 salles de bain, 1 complète - 1 avec douche - pas de baignoire - et 1 demi-bain. Une grande cuisine entièrement équipée avec un service pour 15 personnes, une salle à manger pouvant accueillir 9 personnes - et un salon avec des canapés entièrement inclinables - un fauteuil inclinable et une chaise - une télévision avec lecteur DVD / VHS et des films salle de jeux et aire de banquet comprenant tennis de table - jeux de fléchettes - basket-ball - table de pique-nique - table à manger - bar complet - coin salon privé / 2ème salon avec écran plat 52 "avec jeux pour plusieurs / plusieurs films / salle de boue du reste de la maison et il est permis de fumer uniquement sur le porche - ou dans cette pièce fermée. Chaque chambre dispose de ses propres commandes de chauffage et de climatisation pour un confort individuel. La 5ème chambre à coucher semi-privée a une reine et un grand lit, ainsi qu'un futon. Cette zone a des rideaux de confidentialité pour le séparer du reste de la salle de jeux. Il dispose également de 6 matelas d'air jumeaux et de 10 sacs de couchage. Un gril à gaz et un foyer sont disponibles. Cette paisible et paisible vallée se trouve juste à côté du célèbre 421 Snake - un voyage en moto pour la population. What a beautiful house with so much history! Shady valley is an awesome place with beautiful mountains every place you look! We watched the race and it was about 30 minutes away. Kate is fast to respond and will make sure any question you have is answered.

Great spot

Great family gathering place

We celebrated our family Christmas and this house was perfect for the whole family ages 11 to 73. There was plenty of room for our group of 11 people to eat, sleep, and play together or alone. The host was easy to communicate with.

Always Perfect!

This was our fourth trip to the Shady House, and it’s like a home away from home for my family. There is so much to do in the area, but the house it’s self is a destination. Bristol week

Me and my brother and 4 friends stayed for 5 days and we absolutely loved the old style historic home. We were there for the race weekend at Bristol. Enjoyed the fire pit at night and all the amenities. Mrs. Kate supplied everything needed to have a great stay and answered any questions we had. Probably the nicest owner I’ve ever dealt with on rentals. Hope to return next year. Oh, and the shady valley store about 200 yards away has delicious food and super nice people.

Cozy

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shady House. The atmosphere was homey and the host was beyond accommodating. The only issue was, we would have liked to stay longer than our schedules allowed. The sudden cold weather front that moved in could have been an issue but our host had everything covered and we were warm and cozy throughout. Peaceful Home in Shady Valley

A cozy house with a wonderful history, a great location (close the the VA Creeper Trail) and a very hospitable owner. We are already planning to return to Shady Valley & the Shady House. Warm and Accommodating!

Kate went out of her way to make sure our family had everything we needed. The large game room had plenty of fun and games for the kids and all 23 of us were able to sit together for our Thanksgiving dinner. The house was well stocked and Kate said to let her know if we needed anything else. We had a wonderful time and hope to meet there again for another family get together. Clean, neat, and "homey"...you can't go wrong with this home away from home!

Great place for family gatherings

Our first impression was this may not be big enough; we were fooled! The place is large and plenty of room for adults with dogs. Fully equipped kitchen from Keurig, to crockpot, to china for the holidays. Hand sanitizer was abundant throughout the house. Bathrooms were fully furnished with bathroom amenties. If you are looking for game time, this place has a ping pong table, lots of games from board games to poker and darts. The outside fire pit was a treat our first night. The property manager was very engaged and resourceful.

Kitchen was nice and was very well equipped. Lighting in the living (front) room could be brighter, as well as the ping pong room. Back middle bedroom bed mattress not very firm and was very shaky. Drinking and all toilet water had brownish discoloration and had a faint smell of iron. Otherwise the house was spacious, cozy and fun for all of our group to spend time together in!!! Thank you

Awesome retreat!!

This little piece of heaven was just what we needed! We came for Memorial Day weekend and could not be happier. We arrived to a clean, well stocked and cared for home. Kate had made sure everything was just so. We were pleased to find every detail was taken care of! We came to ride the Virginia Creeper Trail and did in the rain, but knowing we had a great place to go that was clean and dry made it all the more fun. We so enjoyed the outdoors at the home as well. We had a good bit of sunshine and the evenings were rain free so we sat outside and watched the millions of fireflies that light up the trees and the surrounding open fields like a light show. Oh my, it was beautiful. I recommend this for families! Great family time. It was very quiet and peaceful! Wifi was great! Didn't turn on the televisions as the surroundings were much too good to do TV! Highly recommend and Kate was so great to work with the entire trip. She took great care of us!

This home belonged to my grandparents. They owned and operated a general store on one side and lived and raised my mother and her 2 siblings on the other side. The old store has been turned into an amazing game and social area.
I grew up roaming these mountains and am proud to have been raised in such a beautiful place. Every Sunday after church, we drove over the mountains and through the woods, to grandmothers house we went. My family has history in Shady Valley going back over 200 years. I could not stand the thought of this amazing place, just sitting there. My only sister died Jan 4th 2015 - my life crumbled. I retreated to the mountains. I was saved by renovating The Shady House. I poured my grief into every blister, splinter, debt, sweat and after a year, I feel I have worked enough to start enjoying life again. Now, it is important for me to show as many people as I can just how theraputic the mountains can be.

Close to The Virginia Creeper Trail, Bristol Motor Speedway, Rafting, Outdoor Adventures OF EVERY KIND all around you. Shopping and dining only a 30 minute drive from the seclusion.
