Riverview Retreat - house with sauna in the New River Gorge National Park!
Overlooking the New River in the southern portion of the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve the Riverview Retreat offers a great escape from everyday life.
The main portion of the house has an open floor plan consisting of a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living room. Two bedrooms with en suite baths can sleep 6. There are three futons, half bath and laundry in the basement.
The house features a 30x22 foot deck that is partially covered with a patio set, barrel sauna and Blackstone grill. Enjoy your meals outside while overlooking the New River.
The house is ideally located close to I-64 and a 20 minute drive to Hinton (+10 minutes to Sandstone Falls), 20 minutes to Beckley, 30 minutes to Lewisburg and the WV State Fair, and 50 minutes to Fayetteville and the New River Gorge Bridge.
The house has WiFi and Central A/C.
This house is newly renovated and still a bit of a work in progress. Currently the access to the house is either by entering on ground level and then climbing the spiral staircase inside or by going around the right side of the house and large deck to the back side where you can get onto the deck and enter via the kitchen door. Eventually, a main staircase will lead up from the parking area onto the deck.

Clean and Comfy with a Sauna!!!
Clean and comfy and in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed the sauna that looks out over the river, mountains, and passing trains. Also, the kitchen and dining area had large windows that were perfect for looking at the mountains while we had our morning coffee. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Beautiful views, and great location. The home was immaculate, and every piece of linen smelled like it had just been washed. I was very impressed, and I'm not sure I've stayed in such a well maintained property before. I also really appreciated the clear communication from the host and simple check out instructions. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your property.

Meet in the Middle
I traveled from NC with a few teenage boys to meet up with an older son who lives in Pittsburgh for a weekend of scenic hiking. Riverview Retreat provided a comfortable home base with great kitchen so we didn’t have to eat out.Most importantly, the teenage boys never complained about the internet signal strength. Communication with owners was great before and during our stay. Will repeat.

Fall Color
Came with friends to see the New River Gorge National Park and fall colors. Although the leaves were not at their peek, the area was beautiful. The house had a fantastic view of the river and mountains. We ere pleasantly surprised to see and hear a train running beside the river.

Clean and newly remodeled. Loved the deck overlooking the river. Enjoyed watching the deer on the little island. Very peaceful. Lots of birds singing. Cool to see the trains pass by. Close
To the town Hinton and the Sandstone Fall Nature center. Visited Sandstone Falls , Pipestem and Bluestone lake while staying at this property. Kitchen has everything you need . Has washer and dryer. Had elderly person with us who found it challenging climbing the hill to get to the house. If in the area again I would stay there again!
