CAMP À SUCRE - CABANE DE STYLE À LA GRANGE!

En construction! Dans Grassy Meadows, WV..1200 sq. Cabine., NichĂ© dans une petite clairiĂšre au sommet de la colline. Comprend 2 chambres, 2 salles de bains complĂštes, cuisine, salle Ă  manger et salon. Plancher de bois franc partout! Grand porche, petit patio pour les grillades et cercle de feu invitant. Construit avec beaucoup de soin et une attention particuliĂšre aux dĂ©tails et aux tendances. Chaque piĂšce contient un peu "d'histoire familiale"! Vieilles portes, Ă©vier de grand-mĂšre, planches de pin, planches de noyer, planches de peuplier, dalles en Ă©rable, poutres, traverses, cintres; tous rassemblĂ©s autour de la ferme. Bonne route de gravier Ă  travers le bois, 4x4 ou 4x4 recommandĂ© en hiver. 10 minutes jusqu'Ă  I64. 40 minutes Ă  Beckley ou Lewisburg, 2 heures de Roanoke, VA ou Charleston, WV. Quelques minutes de plus Ă  l'est de Lewisburg (oĂč se tient la foire de l'État de WV), vous pouvez ĂȘtre Ă  White Sulphur Springs pour assister au spectacle annuel du Greenbrier Classic. Excellent endroit pour faire de l'Ă©quitation, du vĂ©lo ou apporter votre VTT. Bienvenue Ă  faire une randonnĂ©e autour de la ferme et voir tous les animaux de la ferme et la faune.

This cabin was a beautiful secluded gem in the hills of West Virginia. Coming from NyC, the silence and isolation was exactly what we needed. The view from the cabin was fantastic, and we enjoyed watching the sunrise with breakfast on the picnic table. We also took in an amazing view of the stars at night. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Tina was responsive on a moment’s notice, both through messaging on the app and over a phone call. Highly recommend this cabin!

Great Cabin

This is a great place to stay. Brought along my 1 and 3 year old , they loved exploring the property and playing on the wrap around porch. We also purchased one of the hand made quilts.

The perfect get-a-way

We stayed here while attending the WV State Fair. The stay was perfect. The host was great with communication! The cabin is peaceful and serene. It was a quiet get-a-way from the hustle and bustle of the fair. We are already planning a trip back!

What a great find!

We booked last minute for a quick trip to explore New River Gorge NP and staying here was one of our favorite parts. Loved the porches, the view, the quiet and privacy and the sound of the birds. The cabin was very clean and well stocked and Tina was a wonderful host. We had lots of hikes and exploring planned but always came back early just to spend more time on that porch. Lovely place!

Cabin was clean and very well-appointed. Had everything we needed. View is fantastic. Enjoyed watching deer and turkeys from the porch everyday. The surrounding area is beyond beautiful! Make sure you hike at Babcock State Park and New River Canyon. Ed and Tina were very friendly and helpful!

weekend getaway

Property well maintained. Had everything we needed. Enjoyed the firepit (plenty of wood supplied). Beautiful views. Saw a couple of deer near the parking area Friday evening. I especially liked the master bedroom and upstairs shower. Loved all the interior woodwork and design of the cabin. Also appreciated the seclusion and privacy.

Secluded / but Not

Away from everything, yet close to everything. There are a couple houses you can see from cabin but the way it is situated on hill, you feel isolated. Just beautiful area and cabin . Deer around cabin and turkey. We did sandstone falls , grand view, and new river bridge. Nice place to cookout over fire. Better than pictures!!

Outstanding Property in a Beautiful Location

We stayed in Tina's cabin for a few nights. It was very quiet and extremely clean! The view from the porch is great! The property owner, Tina, went above and beyond when our car battery died and she helped us to get the car started. The bed we slept in (the King sized bed) was very comfortable. If we come to West Virginia again, we will definitely stay here.

My Husband and I were celebrating our 31st anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at this beautiful location on a hill with wonderful views!!! Great value!

Here’s another glowing review for this property and the owners. We really appreciated having the linens supplied by the owners as this was one less thing for us to pack. The king and queen beds were comfy. We came to the area for rafting so most of our time at the cabin was in the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful fire pit. We will be staying here again and have already booked a return stay for this year’s Fall Gauley rafting.

Almost Heaven for Sure

Off the beaten path and very peaceful. The birds were plentiful and the cabin was beautifully stocked. We traveled each day to Fayetteville and the new River Gorge national Park. That was about a 1 hour Dr. tons of outdoor activities to do in the area. My only suggestion would be that they find a way to install blinds on the upper windows to keep the loft from being so sunny early in the morning. We want to go back in the fall when I’m sure it will be beautiful.

Perfect getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sugar Camp. It's a wonderful location if you are just looking to enjoy nature for a few days, or want to explore the New River Gorge National Park, Lewisburg, and the Greenbrier Valley. The cabin and its property are well-maintained, stocked, and furnished. We appreciated the hard work, thought, and care that was put into the place. The owners communicated well with us. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the cows, turkeys, deer, and other critters. You won't be disappointed!

My husband Ed and I live on a working farm at the foot of Keeney Mt in Grassy Meadows, WV. Road name changes and 911 address changes have us with an Alderson mailing address, making it really fun for the UPS and FedEx drivers. I even had trouble listing our cabin on Keeney Mt Rd; the map would not recognize the location. When my husband told me our road was forever called Ford Hollow Road, I plugged the name in and it came right up!
Ed is the full-time farmer. I work as a USDA Consumer Safety Inspector with a local patrol assignment. Every spare minute I have though is used to be outside helping with the animals and farm chores. Ed along with a cousin or two, would spend summers here as kids helping his grandpa in the hay. In 1979, at 20 yrs old he moved here to be with his grandpa. I am from this area, raised on a dairy farm, and graduated from the local high school. I received my B.S. in Ag. Business from WVU in 1987. I have three grown boys of my own, all out working and making me proud! Eddie has a daughter just out of college and headed out on her own. We both love this way of life; although sometimes heartbreaking and back breaking, we wouldn't change a thing.

When things slowdown in the late fall and winter months we can offer one-night stays for people traveling through the area, if the request will go through the site, try that first, if not contact us directly!!
