My friends and I booked this property for a girls weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. Upon arriving at the property an AC technician was there repairing the heater. We were advised that the heater was broken and that it would not be fixed for our stay. The temperatures dropped into the 50's and we were not able to us the heater. Also, the house was filthy. As we enter one of the bathrooms, we found a pantyliner, toothpick and a glob of black hair in the trashcan, the bathtub had a yellow/brown soap scum ring around the entire tub. When we pulled the sheets back to get into bed, 2 of the beds had black hair in them. The light in one of the bedrooms apparently had a short in it and it blinked like a disco show. There was not one extra pillow in the house. Lastly, the kitchen was filth. The inside of the kitchen drawers and cabinets were disgusting. We would open the drawers and cabinets and roaches were just running around. We walked in one night from eating dinner & a roach was on the counter. We killed 5 roaches during our stay in the kitchen. We notified the property the property manager and she stated that the house was cleaned prior to us entering that she would sent the cleaner to look at it and she would send an exterminator. We declined both because we did not want to be in the house when the property was sprayed and we would have to be exposed to that. The property manager refused to refund our stay. This house is not what it is advertised to be.
For the stay it was me, my sister and sister-in-law. We just wanted a get away for the weekend. We had tickets to Chinese Lantern Festival at Bellingrath Gardens. We knew it would be a bit of a drive but wanted to stay in the Fairhope area. We each had our own bedroom which was nice. Two nice bathrooms. Living room had plenty of room for sitting and visiting. It was a very nice relaxing stay.
We wanted to be close to Fairhope for a weekend with some of our grandchildren. It was just right. The beds were comfortable and the house was clean. It is a great place to stay for all ages. I would recommend a stay here.
