It was good it was worth it for the price everything was clean when we got there beds were comfortable although not trying to complain but there was hardly any utensils it would’ve been nice if there was a grill there but I get it that takes money to buy although there was one thing I wasn’t really happy about there was a cup that said b*ch b*ch b*ch I would strongly suggest getting rid of that for it to be kid friendly other than that I would stay there again

It has come to my attention that there were 5 guests staying in the suite. The reservation was made for 1. The maximum guest allowed is 4. 5 guests goes against the stated house rules and policies and has been reported to VRBO so other hosts can be aware of misleading renters.

The cabin was spotless!! Not a good place to stay in the winter or cold days in March. Space heaters were not adequate to keep cabin warm on cloudy windy days. On a sunny day, the space heaters were adequate.

Owner was very responsive and let us check in early as we were only staying one night to go to the parks. It was on the main road to the park so easy access. It was tidy, clean and cozy. Great deal for convenient location. We had a great time.

It was a nice retreat with plenty of space. The space heaters kept us cozy in the cold October nights. Close enough to things we wanted to do and see. Good wi-fi. Would return!

Absolutely charming apartment! Very clean and nicely decorated. Check-in was a breeze and the location was perfect - just minutes to the Grand Canyon and about ten minutes to Wellsboro. Ken, the owner, was super responsive and gracious - could not have been more helpful. We loved our weekend getaway to Omni’s Hideaway and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Charming Place to Stay

The suite was perfect for a couple or small family. It was clean and charmingly decorated. Great location to explore the canyon and Wellsboro areas. We will stay there again.

Having the opportunity to retire early due to her military career, followed by state employment, your hostess Susan (now better known as Omi) was looking for her next chapter in life.

On a drive to the PA Grand Canyon overlook at Leonard Harrison State Park one day, she was saddened to see the famous landmark once known as Animaland, which had been closed at this point for over a year, was becoming overgrown and in much need of attention. She also noticed a sign stating it was available. The challenge became clear, to bring this unique building back to life. By the fall of 2017 the restorations began, and by Memorial Day weekend of 2018 the doors were once again open under a new name - Omi of the Canyon. Concentrating on the gift shop and snack bar to get things started, renovations continued each year to offer more products and a greater experience to visitors. By the summer of 2024, Omi’s Hideaway was completed and is now available as a unique vacation rental.
