The Space:
Welcome to The Werner House, a historic gem dating back to 1905. Once the residence of Edward Paul Werner, this magnificent building is proudly listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Step inside and be transported to another era, where timeless beauty and craftsmanship have been preserved for over a century.
This home is a multi-family home with long term tenants living upstairs, although there are no shared spaces with these tenants other than an area near the side door (you will have your own private access), the parking lot, and the basement & hallway area leading down to laundry.
As you enter, the grand staircase and original woodwork greet you in the foyer, setting the tone for the entire home. The expansive living room boasts an original marble fireplace, soaring ceilings, and an abundance of natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Through the original pocket doors, you'll find the elegant dining room, complete with built-in cabinetry, a large dining table, and a bar cartâideal for hosting memorable gatherings. The kitchen is fully equipped, providing everything you need to effortlessly prepare homemade meals.
The main floor also offers two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom featuring an original clawfoot tub. The first bedroom includes a full trundle bed with a twin underneath, and a desk, perfect for those who need a quiet workspace. The second bedroom features a queen bed, another original marble fireplace, and ample closet space.
Upstairs, you'll find two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom. The first bedroom is highlighted by a stunning king bed, a large armoire, an original marble fireplace, and a smart TV. The second bedroom offers a cozy queen bed and a charming nook, perfect for reading or enjoying a morning coffee..

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to Unit 1, the front porch, gas grill in the back, parking lot (please use parking spot #1), and washer/dryer located in the basement. Please be respectful of neighbors as this is a multi unit building.

đ€« Please be courteous to neighbors and keep the noise to a minimum when outside. We have decibel readers that track noise levels outside (these do not record conversations). We have had noise complaints from neighbors and have a $500 fine for excessive noise levels between 10pm-8am.
đ If smoking of any kind takes place inside, please note there will be a minimum charge of $500 for extra cleaning
đŹ Smoking outside is permitted.
đŸ A max of 2 dogs are allowed for a flat fee of $150/stay. NO CATS ALLOWED. Requests to bring a 3rd or 4th dog are subject to approval and will incur an additional $100 fee.
đ« NO underage consumption or drugs
đ NO parties or large gatherings are permitted.
đ«You will be charged $150 for late checkout without prior notice
Renters must be 21 years or older to book and stay.
đA friendly reminder to please remove your shoes when entering the house. This helps us keep the space clean and comfortable for everyone. Thank you for your understanding!
đI respect my neighbors to the fullest and will not tolerate any gatherings, parties, or unauthorized guests. If you violate any of my house rules or those of the OTA community, you will be required to vacate the property immediately, and no refund will be issued for any unused nights.
đIf the property is equipped with a grill, guests are responsible for refilling the propane tank if neededâbut donât worry, just send us the receipt and weâll reimburse you! Happy grilling!
đPlease note: While we provide a small list of checkout instructions, they are not mandatory but greatly appreciated to ensure a seamless transition for our next guests. Thank you!
đA damage protection option is required for all reservations and is processed through our third-party system prior to arrival. Guests may choose either a $400 refundable security deposit (pre-authorized hold, not a charge, released after a damage-free inspection) or a non-refundable damage waiver of $40, which covers accidental damages beyond normal wear and tear.
