Heather was super helpful and very accommodating. She allowed us to check in early and her standard offer to all is if she doesn’t have anyone else checking that day then you can stay past checkout time of 11 AM. Her property grounds were very relaxing and so big of you wanted too you could stay there and find something to do your entire time.

Great stay.

A beautiful place to get away with the family! The river was lovely after a little bit of a struggle to get out of the slough with all of us on the canoe because the water was low from a dry summer. Would recommend 10/10 as a nice quite/private getaway.

Wonderful Stay!

We had a great time at the cabin and exploring the beautiful scenery. Tom and Kathy were so great and let us reschedule when a covid conflict came up. 10/10 highly recommend!

Autumn Getaway

We stayed at the Turkey Ridge cottage and had a beautiful Gasconade kayak trip. The property was secluded and peaceful. The hosts took great care of us and we will be returning. Thank you again!

Great getaway

Peace and quiet and cozy cottage! We enjoyed playing in the river and used the canoes one day. Lots of time spent by the fire pit and hammock. Owners were very responsive and helpful.

Off the beaten path

Perfect little place large enough for 3 couples. We enjoyed the view! The large picnic table was great for having dinner outside. Make sure to have your supplies with you when checking in - its almost 20 minutes to town and the cabin is too nice to leave once youve arrived!

Turkey Ridge Cabin

This is a great cabin. Unbelievably quiet and serene. I will return. Oh I highly recommend Tom's book. It is in the cabin.

Secluded Rustic Charm

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turkey Ridge Cottage. The cottage was cozy and exuded rustic charm. It is the perfect place for those looking to enjoy tranquility in nature's presence and "recharge the batteries". Kathy and Heather are wonderful hosts who look to make your stay a great experience. Clifty Creek Nature Area provides wonderful hiking.

Secluded Cabin with a View

Fantastic cabin. Great view of river. Inside of cabin is like stepping back in time to the 1930/1940's. Absolutely beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. Surrounded by forest and a gravel road to the cabin. A percect weekend getaway!

Zero issues with this property all the amenities were provided as far as bedding/linens, towels/ washcloths pretty much fully stocked kitchen as far as pots, pans, skillets, dining ware, glass ware, pretty much any kind of utensil you might need in the kitchen they have you covered. Just came home from our first ever sisters trip and it was amazing, very secluded, quiet, even though the owners live on the property they are still a bit away from where we stayed. We had the best time we have had together ever. Bring your toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, body spray, preferred bath soap/body wash, shampoo/conditioner. They have you covered, obviously bring your own food/beverages that you intend to consume. Full size refrigerator with upper freezer compartment, ice cube trays filled and frozen. If you want more ice to put in the freezer I suggest a small bag. Sit on the back deck and enjoy the peaceful quiet time with a beautiful view.

Relaxing 😌

Such a cute little cabin! The wood burning stove was fantastic, kept the entire place nice and cozy. The sunset is breathtaking and impossible to capture its beauty with a camera shot. We hope to be back someday.

Our time at the Turkey Ridge Cottage was absolutely wonderful, and provided us with all of the peace and quiet we were searching for. We really didn't need to bring much as it was stocked so well! Tom and Kathy were so friendly! We were able to walk around the area, cook our foil packs in the firepit, and watch the sunset. We enjoyed the historical books about Turkey Ridge, and the book which Tom wrote. We could not have found a more tranquil and beautiful place to stay! Thank you Tom and Kathy!

Excellent escape from city life!

This was one of my best vacations ever. The area was remote enough to be quiet and serene but close enough to a bigger town to get supplies for out stay. My family loved being out in the outdoors, especially being so close to a river. This vacation really allowed us to unplug and rest from busy city life. We all can’t wait to get back and do it again!

Wonderful stay.

We we were looking for peace, quiet, and space for my son's two dogs. We found that and more. I walked to river once in our two day stay. My son and dogs made several trips. I went on a 3 mile hike by the stream and loved it. Definitely recommend this place.

Great weekend

The initial property was fun. The views were amazing, with a quick walk to the river. My wife loved the vintage pantry. We had an issue by no fault of the host and they were more than willing to help. The second place was just as great for a weekend getaway.
