birthday retreat

We had a nice time. The hosts, the food from the lodge all great.. The lake beautiful. Would recommend Marble Lodge to anyone and everyone.

Cosy little cabin definitely comfy.

A great little week's holiday. Connie was most hospitable. Any issues we spoke of she was right on it. Found the peace and tranquility we were looking for. Nice. Would holiday again

We loved the rustic and comfortable feel of the property. The cleanliness was a bit disappointing though. The first thing I noticed was fly paper hanging over the dining table, covered in flies. Next, was the layers of dirt and dust on the blades of the ceiling fans in all the rooms. This was truly disappointing as a fellow camper mentioned seeing staff cleaning the unit the morning we checked in. Our next issue was check in. Check in time is after 4pm. We arrived at 5pm and could not find anyone. The sign on the door of the owners home stated not to knock, but to go to the restaurantto check in. However the restaurant burned down some time ago!! It was almost 45 min before the owner came out to give us the key. Please don't take these comments as the experience was all negative. Our cabin #6 met most of our needs and was a perfect location beside the lake. Our dog especially loved the eady access to the lake. I would suggest taking a foam topper for the beds though as the mattresses are very firm. The lodge is fairly quiet and the property is kept clean. There are several canoes and kayaks for free use, and a couple small motor boats. The owner, Connie is a wonderful person. She's very understanding and caring. We will definitely be returning - with foam mattress toppers lol.

Cottage #6

Private litte spot For #6 Except the rocks right outside the door are pretty steep and dangerous for small kids and the busy road just a few steps away. Also lots of pets hair on the futon, no handle on the oven, and the top right ring of the stove didn’t work as well as the bbq handle was broken. Other then that there’s a nice litte beach a few steps away. I could dock my boat and go out no problem.

Thanks for letting me know about the pet hair on the futon. I will instruct house keeping to be a little more vigilant. I will let maintenance know about the burner. BBQ has been replaced with a new one.

The Location is worth it

We knew going in the cottage was going to be rough, but it was all we needed, a place to rest our heads and make food! The location was perfect, we were in a private area, and the views were amazing and being on the water listening to then loons was exceptional. The available kayaks were great as well, and the rapids you can paddle too are a lot of fun for kids! Definitely recommend.

Good averall

Our stayed was good we enjoyed the place. In my opinion the place need some renovation to be perfect. The screen are not mosquito proof anymore.... We were their during the storm and the Connie's team made a good job to checking on everyone and see our needs. I recommend this place.

Thank you for bringing the screens to my attention. I will get my handy man on it. I was thinking a shutter or blind on the screen porch to keep the weather out. You guys were real Trappers sticking it out after that storm.

Perfect location! The cottage has everything you need. The screen in porch is perfect for the evening or rainy day! Connie replied to all my questions really fast. Restaurant is convenient 😌. Beware that internet is not a thing, so if u cannot live without it ...🤪 I will definitely gonna go back!

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes that screened in porch in one on my favorite places to sit. Hopefully this area soon will get reliable internet and cell coverage. My understanding is it is in the works. Hope to see you back soon. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
