Newer Deluxe Cottage, Bon Echo Park

Imaginez un chalet entouré de pins de 100' de haut, doté de tout le confort nécessaire : un coin repas extérieur protégé par une moustiquaire, un foyer extérieur avec des chaises Muskoka, un escalier menant à la terrasse au bord de l'eau et un ponton de 36'. Vous y découvrirez un lac aux eaux limpides et au fond sablonneux. La nuit, le calme règne et l’obscurité est totale (nous sommes à proximité de la réserve de ciel étoilé) ou le clair de lune illumine les lieux. Climatisation centrale, barbecue, télévision HD par satellite, bornes de recharge pour véhicules électriques, terrasse, ponton de 36', cuisine équipée, salle de bains, cheminée, intérieur en cèdre et bien d’autres atouts dans ce chalet décoré par des professionnels.

En haute saison (dernière semaine de juin à la 1re semaine de septembre), les locations se font à la semaine ; le jour d’arrivée et de départ est le dimanche. Réservation minimale de 3 nuits pendant les longs week-ends. $50 frais de désinfection pour les animaux de compagnie. Chauffage/climatisation $10/night. Chauffage gratuit en mai et octobre.

We had a wonderful experience at Lawrence's cottage. What gorgeous views, beautiful water and a lovely, clean cottage. You can choose to simply relax and read a book on the dock, or make yourself busier by using all the water toys Lawrence provides. It was fabulous to be able to bring our dog with us! It is nice to go into town to visit the local businesses and roadside fruit and veggie stands. Lawrence is a very attentive and caring host who was an absolute pleasure to meet. We highly recommend this peaceful piece of paradise, and will be coming back next year!

Beautiful quiet cottage

Cozy little cottage, perfect for a relaxing vacation. Several seating areas and screened in rooms , private dock and Lake access . Super friendly host with great recommendations.

I stayed at this beautiful cottage at the end of may. Spectacular views of a beautiful lake and all the accommodations you need. Will book again for sure.

A lovely spot and an enjoyable time!

We truly enjoyed our stay. Lawrence has made this such a wonderful holiday retreat! A perfectly supplied cottage, natural feeling landscaped property with several sitting areas and 2 screened in gazebos, lots of fun water activities, and fire pit. We hope to return!

1. The property was littered with stones, tree refuse, and had a tick-heaven undergrowth.2. The dock had hard points unprotected by boat friendly cushions; damage was incurred3. It was impossible to use the dock at night. The pathway and dock were unlit and, subsequently, dangerous to feet and ankles.4. The property was not exclusive; it was shared with other renters.5. A parking spaces connected to the structure was used for someone else's vehicle.6. The structure is not "deluxe" and is actually a small trailer; not a cottage building.7. The watercraft provided were dirty and unaccompanied with safety equipment.8. There was no Wi-Fi.

This guest owed $145 for extra services and left without paying... 1. This is cottage country. 2. Guest failed to use boat fenders. And was new to the boat. Every dock has corners... 3. Flashlights are provided. 4. The descriptions spells out exclusive-use and shared areas. 5. Parking spaces are shared. Like parking everywhere. My ev charging space is adjacent. 6. 'A picture is worth a thousand words.' Pictures don't lie.... 7. 1st guest since 2007 to say watercraft weren't clean. Safety kits are readily available. 8. Wifi wasn't listed as an amenity.

What a wonderful property, cottage, host and Lake (Mazinaw). Our family had a great week staying in the Pine, lots of great water activities, exploring at Bon Echo (and nearby sites) and many new memories made. Thank you to Lawrence for being so welcoming and attentive. We will be back next summer.

You are the first unhappy guests in my 18 years hosting. The listing spells what amenities are shared and what are exclusive use. VRBO unfortunately does not have a 'privacy rating'. You would have to drive further and spend more to get complete privacy. I am on an adjacent lot for rapid resolution of any issue, unlike other rentals where the host is hours away. No guest intruded on your 'privacy'. As the 36x12' dock cost me $28,000 this year, it HAS to be shared....

For the first 3 days they were clearing the lot next to us ..All we heard was trucks backing up and chainsaws all day and men standing 3 feet from our windows. And all they offered was a pitcher of beer for our troubles..think we are seeking legal advice

I understand your concern. BUT The host has NO control and no ability to stop over what neighbours do on their lots. Anywhere in the world. Neighbour abided by Township's noise bylaws. It's unfair to blame the host for something out of their control.

Northern Getaway

Communications were clear right from the start. Lawrence is quick to answer any questions or queries. The property is beautiful, the cabin was beautiful and we felt welcomed immediately. Lots to do right off the dock and the lake is so clear you can see way down. We went out to eat in Cloyne, then back to relax in our cozy cottage. The screened in gazebo kept the mosquitos away and the gated deck meant our pup had fun outside without escaping. All in all a wonderful stay, and we will be back. Thank you for a wonderful weekend Lawrence.

Fantastic relaxing birthday weekend for my wife!

The property is exceptionally clean, well equipped and has to offer way more than just a stay in a cottage. Fantastic covered patio, fire pit with Muskoka chairs, gazebo with mosquito nets all around, floating dock with few different floating devices free for use! We loved the water bike a lot! Was very safe to operate with a 2 year old. The view is out of this world!!!! Lake is clean, deep and transparent. Big Napoleon BBQ fed us for 3 days with great meats from local store. Owner is nice and very helpful. He takes care of the property like very few owners do. We are 200% satisfied and wife celebrated her birthday in a paradise-like place. Thank you very much! We will be back!

A great adventure

We really enjoyed our week stay at The Pine Cottage. I loved the cozy cottage which felt like home, and the seating areas around the property which were perfectly placed for a great view of the lake. The lake was clean with a sandy bottom and our dog enjoyed jumping off the dock. The lake was also warm but refreshing. Fishing was also good off the dock and it was minutes from a marina that offered daily boat rentals. I was impressed about how clean the cottage and that kitchen appliances had been upgraded. It was nice having the owner on site incase anything went wrong (which it didn’t), and provided a quick and easy way of obtaining firewood. The lake was also quiet most days with breath taking views. We sat for hours just staring at the lake. If you are looking for a peaceful place to unplug I would recommend this cottage.

The property has a set of modular home trailers and small cabins all for rent that share a lovely dock with kayaks and a paddleboar for our use on a gorgeous lake with a weed-free, very swimmable shoreline and swim platform. The larger homes like the one we rented have beautiful large outdoor screened gazebos that were wonderful and were a definite highlight. The second bedroom was extremely tiny with double bunk beds and foam camper-style mattresses that are suitable, in our opinion, only for kids. Having no internet and very spotty or no cell service was a bit of a frustration but we drove into town nearby to make our phone calls. We were pleased that our pets were welcomed. There were two TV's and DVD's which we enjoyed. The kitchen had a full size fridge and was well appointed in terms of dishes, pots, pans, etc.. At one point, we had a problem with our fridge but were pleased that it was so quickly addressed. The outdoor property was lovely and we particularly enjoyed visiting Bon Echo park just a short boat ride up the lake. A relaxing stay overall.

Lawrence was very welcoming and checked on us throughout the week, along with restaurant & local community happenings. The lot is beautiful with many mature trees. Not one, but two screened in areas (plus a great dock) expands the opportunities to spend time outside. The long porch with a gate at both ends allowed our dog to explore while also being safe. Finally the close proximity to Bon Echo Provincial Park is magic!

The cottage was exactly as listed and the watercraft available was above and beyond. The views and outdoor seating areas were spectacular.Lawrence was very accommodating and always available. He’s a pet lover as well and he’s thought of everything possible that you might need. There’s a lot to do in the area and the grocery store etc is close by.I am definitely going to go back.
