Tenn. cabin getaway.

Nicely-kept one room cabin in the woods, but also within a short drive of supplies and the many in-town activities and entertainments.

Gatlinburg Cabin area veterans

As long time visitors of the area and staying in only cabins, this was by far the worst one as far as location and accommodations. My wife and I decided to look for a cabin last minute (searched on a Friday and traveled Saturday). This and one other cabin, the one next door, were the only 2 we found. After our stay was complete, I realized why it was available. First thing I noticed as we arrived was a musty, wet basement smell walking in and the floor near the kitchen sink was spongey as if its deteriorating. The ceiling above the bed appeared to have mold in the attic space that was coming through the ceiling. The toilet and the bathroom sink weren't level. Using the toilet, you feel like you'll fall off the right. The hot tub was set to 107 degrees and the knob to turn it down was broken off. We did contact the property manager and they did come out and repair the knob, but the lowest temp it dropped to was 105. My wife and I stayed in many different cabins and this was the first one that required us to put our garbage in our vehicle and drive it to their dumpster. The location wasn't the greatest if you're looking for peace and quiet to relax and get away. Approximately 500 feet down from the cabin is a main road that you hear every car and motorcycle at all hours. The road off the main road to get to the cabin is all rock and has massive craters in the rock. If your vehicle is not a 4x4, don't bother staying here. We ride motorcycles and we're so glad we didn't trailer them down because we would've had to find a place to drop the trailer. For $266/night, I expected way better, but as a last minute trip, I guess it served it's purpose.

I simply cannot believe what I just read! You stayed your week, your entire week. After your departure date we texted you to ask did you enjoy your stay. Your response and I quote 'The bed and pillows were fantastic. We slept great, actually!'. From the first day you arrived (at least twice daily) you called us or maintenance and/or met in person for instruction on how to adjust the hot tub's temperature dial to tweak it to the exact temp you thought you would like. Your stay was over 3 weeks ago and now you post a terrible review...what happened?

It was nice ... Heart tube jets did not work and lights in outside hot tub did not work

I would say i was satisfied besides the issues with the hot tubs and the hot tub water was too hot enjoy

A little deceptive

Positives, the place was very clean, easy to find with GPS, conveniently located to both Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Smokies. The free tickets were a nice perk and saved us a lot of money. The staff was helpful and nice. I was under the impression the cabin was more secludedthan it is. The pictures made the cabin seem a little bigger than it actually was. Now I realize I was not booking a big cabin. But it has a pool table which would lead one to believe there is actually room to play pool. The pool table was the biggest disappointment. The table was not level. All the balls would roll to one side. Even after attempting to try to level the pool table, it didn't make a difference as there wasn't enough room to really play. This space would have been better used than a useless pool table. (The pool table was one of the main reasons I selected this cabin!) The road is literally right below the cabin. If you are a light sleeper make sure to bring ear plugs! The cars are very loud at all hours. There are also two other cabins on the same drive way. The picture and description of the cabin leads you to believe it's secluded, it's really not. Plus there was a dog that barked consistently nearby. I am personally a planner and would have liked to have my directions and packing list more in advanced than the same day I am checking in.

I'm so sorry you were disappointed in our cabin. I wish we would have known the pool table wasn't leveled properly. It is a new pool table, so I'm not sure why it wasn't level. I wish you would have reported it. We would have sent them back to properly level the table. Yes, the cabin is near a road which makes it super convenient and close to all the really neat attractions. Again, we are sorry you weren't completely happy with our cabin and thank you for staying with us.
