Bienvenue Ă  Marshwind!
Un endroit idéal pour un couple de passer un moment de détente, semaine tranquille sur la cÎte.

SituĂ© dans le village de pĂȘche historique de Prospect, perchĂ© sur le bord de l'ocĂ©an Atlantique - oĂč les vagues se brisent, des rochers de granit et de la faune vous entourent.

Ouvrez la porte et vous ĂȘtes juste Ă  quelques pieds du bord de l'ocĂ©an. Profitez de la vue sur l'ocĂ©an de toutes les fenĂȘtres de la maison.

Restez à l'intérieur et regarder le reflux de la marée et de flux à partir d'une chaise confortable ou aventurez-vous pour l'un des nombreux cÎtiÚre-trail ou en terres randonnées. Ne pas oublier votre appareil photo, vous verrez la beauté dans les paysages étonnants et une faune abondante. Admirez comment les plantes et les arbres sont attachés à la cÎte de granit exposés.
Plus d'infos sur les oiseaux? Vous serez en mesure d'ajouter de nombreuses espÚces d'oiseaux cÎtes et des océans à votre liste. Oiseaux font souvent une halte dans notre arriÚre-cour pendant leurs migrations à l'automne et au printemps. L'hiver apporte une abondance de canards du Nord.

Apportez vos kayaks ou louer à partir d'un pourvoyeur local - les lancer à partir de la rampe dans votre arriÚre-cour et d'explorer certaines des meilleures cÎtes de kayak dans l'Est du Canada - naufrages, les ßles et les phares désertes attendent pour vous faire découvrir.

Marshwind est parfait pour un couple qui cherche Ă  sortir de tout cela et profiter un peu de paix au bord de la mer - tout en Ă©tant assez proche de tout pour des excursions vers les attractions de la Nouvelle-Écosse.

En 2012 Marshwind, a été utilisé comme lieu d'implantation pour le film Hallmark 'de Noël avec le houx.

This property was so beautiful. The views were spectacular and the house was very warm and inviting. It was the perfect vacation home for my family. The hike just down the street was the cherry on top of our stay! Definately want to stay here again when we come back to Nova Scotia to visit family.

Our stay was lovely. We had elderly parents with disabilities. We managed but there were a lot of steps in the property. Meagan was very efficient with the opening and closing process. The home has wonderful kitchen with amazing views. It was very clean and a pleasure to stay there.

Marshwind is a lovely property in the midst of quaint little village. Meagan and Scott are excellent hosts and kept in touch to make sure everything was going smoothly . The accommodations were nice and clean, comfy beds and all essentials needed for meal planning and prepping. I would highly recommend a stay at Marshwind. You will not be disappointed!!

Peaceful Prospect

We loved our time at Marshwind in Prospect. The house was spotless and was equipped with everything we needed. The views of the marsh and the bay are spectacular! We love sitting outside having coffee in the morning and meals later in the day. We were perfectly situated where we could explore Peggy's Cove and Halifax and other surrounding places without having to drive very far. If you are looking for a peaceful stay while being surrounded by water, this is the place to visit.

A slice of heaven

Our collective blood pressure dropped 30 points when we walked in the door to what could easily be characterized as a "coastal paradise". The listing was true and accurate, the owners informative and hospitable, the home immaculate and even the neighbors (which can sometimes resent seasonal intruders) were welcoming and sharing of their knowledge of the area. A beautiful place to be sure... we wish had more time to spend.

Lovely Stay

A lovely cottage with a great view of the cove, with tides and assorted wildlife in view. The cottage had excellent amenities. Very quiet and easy access to area sites.

Marshwind

Meagan and Scott do a fantastic job as hosts. The property is so picturesque and the village is like something from a movie. Watching the changes in the weather and tides are fascinating. Could not recommend this property more highly. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful and relaxing!

This place had a great location too! Centrally located for all the local tourist attractions. Super cute home, very clean and well stocked with basic supplies. Host was quick to respond to our inquiries and had great advice for the local beach! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Lovely home in a quiet beautiful community located on an inlet. Fun to watch the tide changes impact on the marsh and the avian life. The home had everything we could ask for and could’ve comfortably slept many more than just the two of us. In the evenings we would make our way up to the 3rd floor to watch tv (30 steps total) and it was cozy too. Sitting on the back deck was a true pleasure and we had tea and coffee and breakfast out there while watching the ducks and cranes? Handy binoculars were provided for your viewing pleasure. Actually I don’t believe the hosts have forgotten any convenience
 Even basics of staples were in the cupboards. Only complaint? There were no screens on any of the first floor windows and that prevented us from opening them for a fresh breeze on the main floor.

Location location location

Prospect Village is exceptional . Marshlands truly peaceful . Great kayaking in entire area. Some good hiking very near by. Excellent hiking with pretty fantastic view of ocean & islands at reserve Polly Cove near Peggy’s Cove. House is great for people who can easily do flights of stairs. Owners very helpful.

Stay in Marshwinds, Prospect, Nova Scotia

This was a beautiful property situated on a quiet street populated by deer! The house had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed watching the tide come in and out daily from the back porch. Sunset is across the way, and worth the trip! Communication with Meagan was easy and timely. The views from the kitchen and bedrooms were spectacular! We hope to stay again!

A beautiful stay in Prospect Bay!

This cottage was immaculate and inviting. Every room had something unique to offer for relaxation or recreation. Every window had a view of the stunning and tranquil surroundings. The sunny days were vibrant and alive. The foggy or rainy days were charming and inspiring. Local residents were friendly and hospitable. We'd love to stay again!

Marshwind

Absolutely stunning home for our week long holiday. Everything we needed was provided by our wonderful hosts. Beautiful views from every window, but especially from the back deck. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were amazing to sleep on. Highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Nova Scotia to stay at Marshwind as it was such a perfect, peaceful and welcoming home. The location was great and so wonderful to come home to after a long day of sightseeing.

The pictures don't do it justice. Such a quiet, beautiful,and relaxing spot; simply perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Marshwind, and are already trying to figure out when we can make it back. Meagan and Scott we're so friendly, available, and accommodating; we couldn't have asked for better! The house is well kept and equipped, and perfectly situated to take in the wonderful sights, fresh smells, and sounds of the bay and its wildlife. We'll​ be actively recommending Marshwind and a Nova Scotia vacation to all out family and friends.

Prospect Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay at Marshwind. It is a beautiful house and property with everything you could need. We loved early mornings looking out over the water and the coastal hike was great! Meagan provided many helpful suggestions which we were able to take advantage of. We were able to easily travel to Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove, as well as to Halifax for supper one evening. This was our first trip to the East Coast and our holiday was wonderful thanks in large part to our stay at Marshwind. We would love to stay again and would not hesitate to recommend to others!

Quiet stay in a beautiful location

Prospect Village is at land's end, where one can observe the tides come and go in their infinite variation, the land and diverse wildlife beautifully integrated. I particularly enjoyed the fog and all its mystery and stillness. The house was spacious and refined, the kitchen well equipped. Very comfortable sleeping. Easy access to the city and other parts of Peggy's Cove area. A good home base for more adventuresome day trips as well. We had a memorable time exploring near and far. All greatly appreciated! It would be a great pleasure to return.

South Shore Getaway

Property is in very close proximity to the South Shore attractions and gems as well as Halifax. The kitchen is well equipped; we did not need for anything. We arrived to a full blown Atlantic storm (thanks for the heads up Meagan). The storm door was a little tricky to manage the first couple of nights, slamming in the wind. We quickly learned to bolt it closed when we were at the house. Beautiful trails right outside the door. All in all, our stay made for a relaxing South Shore getaway.

Prospect Village is simply magical. We had lived in the Village for several years and knew that we never wanted to leave.
We jumped at the chance to buy this 150 year old Fisherman's Cape home and then proceeded to bring it back to life. We restored it's original charm with an architectural flair and updated it with modern, eco-friendly conveniences.
Living in Prospect is like living in a wildlife park - with the ocean just steps from the home, you can sit back with your tea and watch wildlife in their natural enviroment. If you want to get a bit closer to the action - there are several coastal & in-land hikes

This home gives a rare glimpse into the past - when you first arrive in the Village, you will feel like you have stepped back in time as many of the homes have mantianed their original designs.
Nature is all around you - bird lovers will enjoy spotting Eagles, Herons, Willets, rare shore birds and coastal ducks to name a few.

In 2012 Marshwind was featured as a key location in the Hallmark movie 'Christmas with Holly', using shots from both the inside and outside of our home. Many movies have been shot in our beautiful village over the years.
