Welcome to Hill Country Wellness Estate, a private riverfront retreat designed for families, friends, wellness groups, and corporate gatherings seeking space to reconnect, recharge, and create lasting memories.

Set on a peaceful stretch of the spring-fed San Marcos River, the property offers direct river access from your private dock. Swim, fish, paddle, or simply relax by the water before returning to enjoy the pool, hot tub, fire pit, and expansive outdoor spaces.

The Main House features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, including three king bedrooms and a queen-over-queen bunk room. Two detached private casitas provide additional space and privacy for larger groups. Together, the estate comfortably accommodates up to 24 guests.

Everything was perfect. Honestly pictures on this don't give credit how beautiful this house is. I have to say the host replied quickly. It was amazing stay.

Had a great get together with friends and family. Very nice place to stay with this many people. The pool and hot tub were well taken care of. Easy access to both Austin, San Antonio and definitely the San Marcos river.

The main house was very comfortable and suited our needs well. We made our meals and ate in the house or at the table under the gazebo. Our older grandkids (ages 15-25) stayed in the bunkhouse and loved their privacy and time together. They said the beds were very comfortable, but would have love an attached bath. The River Casita was not as we had hoped. There was an odd smell which they quickly came to help neutralize, but the main problem was the bunk beds. For my 5’2” frame, I fit fine, but my husband’s 6’ frame barely fit laying corner to corner. The mattresses were not as nice as most were throughout the property. Overall, it was quite rustic, but having the extra bath was a must for our large group, so it still served our needs. Jesse was extremely responsive to any requests we had and responded quickly to meet our needs, both as we prepared to come and while we were at the property. Having access to the river and dock entry were great and the pool a great place to relax and cool off in the heat.

Had a great Thanksgiving break with our families - house is off the beaten path right on the river. Lot of room, separate bunk house is pretty cool and we used the outdoor seating at the table and the hot tub quite a bit (too cold to use pool). Jesse is very, very responsive. We have a college age child living in San Marcos so definitely plan to return here for family gatherings.

Fantastic Family Gathering

We had our entire family gather here for a long 4 day weekend - 12 adults, 4 kiddos and 1 infant!There was more than enough sleeping space and the 2 separate casitas were great for those that wanted a little more seclusion! The property is beautiful and very rustic and our kiddos had a blast! We floated the river 2 days and got to all go and watch Pawpaw play in a Sr Softball tournament! We cooked all of our meals together and had everything we needed!Fun family memories that will last a lifetime!! We would highly recommend this property for large groups and multiple families wanting to gather together in one fun place!

Beautiful property with a lot of space to spend some quality family time. Overall great stay and I would recommend for large groups or large families. Few things to note: a couple of the restrooms dont have actual locks which made privacy a little hard. One of the rooms with bunk beds is too close to the ceiling, very high. Not safe for children and adults dont really fit up there. We ended up not being able to use the top bunk due to safety reasons. Otherwise, No issues, the house is well equipped and we had a great time.

Rather than interrupt their stay with a repair, we waited until after checkout, and we're happy to share that the lock has now been repaired. Thank you as well for your feedback on the top bunk. Guest safety is always our top priority, and we'll be evaluating whether we can lower it to make it more comfortable and practical for future guests. This is a very unique place to stay with all the sleeping options. Great location between Austin and San Antonio, the pool area is amazing place to hang with the family. The host's are very responsive if you have any questions. Would definitely stay again.

In 2012, I competed in the Texas Water Safari and fell in love with the San Marcos River. Ever since then, I have become obsessed with the Upper San Marcos River. Our family has always dreamed of enjoying a house on the river.
