À propos de cet hébergement
Knotty Pine Old Time Cabin - Family built in 1955 - Central Heat - Lg Deck - A/C
Enjoy your mountain stay at our family cabin that my father & grandfather built in the 1950’s. The Red Cabin with all knotty pine walls & ceilings, has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, & large decks in the middle of mature pine trees. It is a true “cabin” that gives a real cabin experience. We hope it will feel like your home away from home, like it has to our family for almost 70 years.
There are stairs leading to the main level access doors. The Red Cabin is 16 miles from Pinecrest Lake, 19 miles to Dodge Ridge Ski/Mountain Biking Resort, and 9 miles to Black Oak Casino. Yosemite, Lake Don Pedro, and Lake Tulloch are also great day trips.
Located in Mi-Wuk Village, the Red Cabin is close to plenty of restaurants and shops and is in the Sierra Nevada mountains of the Stanislaus National Forest where guests enjoy hiking, fishing, biking, skiing, and camping.
This 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1000sq ft two-story house has one bedroom on the main level, and two bedrooms upstairs. The Red Cabin is ideal for a family, or a small group.

Considerations/Disclosures :
• Our Community: The Red Cabin is NOT a party house. We have known our neighbors for decades and we have many fulltime neighbors nearby.
• Cameras: The Red Cabin has exterior cameras. We care about the security of our cabin and our community.
• Parking: Our driveway fits 3 cars. 2 side by side on the parking pad and 1 on the driveway.
• Accessibility: There are stairs from the driveway to the front deck leading to the front door.
• BBQ & Propane Firepit: Propane tanks are available, but not actively maintained. Consider bringing your own tank or exchanging the existing tanks at the local gas stations and at Mi Wuk Market.
• Wildlife: We are a mountain cabin and we live among wildlife: bears, wild turkey, deer, mountain lions, etc.

This is a big attraction for bears. Pick up day is Monday. If your stay includes Sunday night please roll the garbage to the street Sunday night as Monday pickup is usually early. Recycling is every other week. There is a schedule in the Welcome binder.
Cabin Policies:
- No smoking
- No pets allowed
- No events, parties, or large gatherings
- Must be at least 25 years old to book
Winter Travel:
-It is highly suggested that cars have chains or 4-wheel drive during snowy months. Main roads get plowed by the city. Our driveway & parking pad are usually plowed by our son-in-law. Please note that snow is not removed from decks & the rest of the property by the hosts. However, shovels are provided for guests.
-There have been power outages in the past and road closures due to storms. Travel insurance is recommended.
-Please note that we do not accept any liability if you’re snowed in/out, experience loss of power, road closures, or other issues out of the host's control. Power outages may happen due to weather, summer during fire season and winter due to snow/freeze, PG&E shut off, etc. If you book the cabin you are accepting these possibilities and will not receive a refund.

À propos de l’hôte
Hôte : Paulette Staats
Hi renter,
I'm Paulette, a wife, mom of 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. I’m a full-time manager of a Fitness Club & Spa. I've been in the Fitness & Spa industry for my entire career, so hospitality is my life. This cabin is very special to me since I have enjoyed it my entire life. I watched my dad do the finish work for years and my husband, brother & friends build new decks, put in central heat and new flooring throughout.
We bought the cabin next door so we are nearby often and this is why we decided to join VRBO to share our special family cabin with you.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement
My parents chose Mi Wuk Village in the 1950's after years of fishing and camping all over California. Every time I drive here, I am grateful they chose this area since it is the closest mountain area to the Bay Area. Easy to get to and not much driving in the snow.
Our family loves this area so much, one of our daughters moved up here full time.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique
Being built by my father and grandfather is the first thing that I think of. I have been coming to our cabin my entire life and have so many wonderful memories.
It is a "real" cabin, with all knotty pine walls and ceilings. It even smells like a real cabin. We have done updates like adding central heat, new flooring, a new large deck out back and of course wi-fi & smart TVs.
