Beautiful house with the perfect amount of space, and the beds were amazingly comfortable! Every room was spotless, and the host communicated wonderfully throughout our stay — quick to respond and easy to work with. The house had everything we needed and then some. It truly was the perfect getaway, and we'd love to stay again!

Great girls’ weekend!

Three of my friends and I took a much-needed break to Fredericksburg. This house had more than enough room, was so cute and clean, and had amazing amenities. Really appreciated the Keurig coffee and all of the kitchen goodies that helped make our stay feel complete. We would 100% stay here again.

Lovely home with great entertaining spaces

Very nice home very close to downtown Fredericksburg. We really loved the large backyard space and all the activities within - hot tub, large covered patio, fire pit and yard games. The kids had a blast running around with the dog and playing games. Would definitely stay here again. Had a few trouble getting into the unit when we arrived and the management team responded immediately and corrected the issue right away.

Great family trip with one issue

We loved our stay at this property. The outdoor space was so great! It must be noted that neither the front entrance nor back entrance steps have a railing. We had two family member fall due to this. I have notified the home owner and he promptly replied that he would fix it. With this one fix, this would make this great property even better by making it safe for all! We would definitely stay here again- just hoping the stairs are fixed and railings are added.

A Sisterhood Celebration to Remember!

Kilted Cowboy Haus was absolutely AMAZING! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect getaway for our 28th Deltaversary Sisterhood Celebration. Joe was an exceptional host—quick to respond, super helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for me and my sorority sisters.His recommendation of Hill Country Catering for our private chef experience was chef’s kiss—delicious doesn’t even begin to describe it! The home itself was just right for our group of 11 women: comfy beds, stylish country chic decor, and plenty of cozy spaces to gather, laugh, and reminisce. We could’ve used one more bathroom, but honestly, we made it work without a hitch.The beautiful country backyard was exactly what we needed to unwind, unplug, and selah—a true breath of fresh air.Highly recommend this gem of a retreat. Treat yourself… you will absolutely enjoy it!

We wanted to like this place....but it feel extremely short

We really wanted to like this place, but would not ever stay there again and would not recommend it anyone either. It had a lot of beds, which is what we needed, but most were ok dorm room beds and not comfortable. The oven, while it is nostalgic and neat, it dangerous and will eventually get someone hurt or killed when it blows up because someone doesn't know how to use natural gas. The living room was filthy. There were either ice cream, frosting or baby batter stains all over the floor and couches. We contacted the owner and his response was "duly noted." The cups and plates were covered in a greasy residue and had to be washed before we could use any of them. The hot tub was messed up our entire stay there and the panel said it was 104, but it was way hotter than that. We contacted the host about it and were told to leave the top off to let it cool down. The idea and concept of this house is neat and it could be a really great place to stay... but it is not right now. For the amount of money we spent for 2 nights for a girls trip and how unclean and uncaring the host was, I would absolutely spend my money somewhere else. This place is lipstick on a pig for the pics and once they get your money, they don't care about anything else. If you are going back and forth between this place another one, looking for enough beds and space for people, do yourself a favor and choose the other place!

While we always appreciate guest feedback, it’s unfortunate to receive a review that is so clearly retaliatory after we upheld our cancellation policy due to weather being outside of our control. Our home is exactly as described in our listing, with accurate photos and details about the space, including the sleeping arrangements. The vintage gas oven, which adds to the home’s character, operates safely and correctly when used as intended—just like any other natural gas appliance. As for cleanliness, we take great pride in ensuring our property is professionally cleaned before every stay. Had there been any legitimate issues, we would have gladly sent our team to address them immediately. However, your exaggerated claims, paired with the hostile tone of your review, make it clear this is less about the home and more about your frustration over not receiving a last-minute refund. We strive to provide a high-quality experience for all our guests and stand by the integrity of our listing and hospitality. Fortunately, hundreds of guests before you have had wonderful stays, and we’ll continue to welcome travelers who appreciate the unique charm of our home.

Kilted Cowboy was one of the best rental homes Ive ever stayed in. The rooms were all super nice and fit our large group perfectly. The backyard was amazing and we had such a good time hanging out there. If anything, the house exceeded our expectations in every way and we would definitely stay here again in the future!
