Escape to Twin Pine Retreat, a rustic 4-bed, 4-bath chalet just 5 mins from downtown Truckee. Perfect for groups of 10, this elegant home features a gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, a private hot tub, and a fenced yard. Enjoy the perfect blend of mountain seclusion and town convenience in this spacious, family-friendly oasis with ensuite bathrooms for every room.

We respect our guests' privacy and aim to provide a seamless, independent stay. We will not be present on the property during your visit but are readily available via the messaging app should you need any assistance or local recommendations. We will provide you with a printed house manual and digital guidebook to help answer any questions that may come up.

Set in a peaceful residential neighborhood steps away from the Sawtooth Trailhead and a short drive to downtown Truckee.

Guests will have private access to the entire home and its amenities, including the two-car garage, driveway, fenced-in yard, and hot tub. A few owner's closets will be locked and are not accessible to guests.

The heart of the home is the great room, where you can gather with loved ones around a stunning stone fireplace. The open layout flows into a gourmet kitchen, fully equipped with top-of-the-line Viking appliances, making it a joy to prepare everything from quick breakfasts to holiday feasts. Enjoy your meals together at the spacious dining table.

At Twin Pine Retreat, we prioritize family comfort with a range of thoughtful amenities. Enjoy peace of mind with a baby monitor, and make mealtime a breeze with children's dinnerware, a crib, and a highchair. We also provide a selection of children's books and toys, ensuring that your little ones have a fun and cozy stay. Whether you’re relaxing or exploring, we’ve got everything you need for a family-friendly getaway!

Each of the four grand bedrooms features its own private ensuite bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy for your group:
- Main Level: One bedroom with a queen bed and a dedicated workspace.
- Main Level: A second bedroom with a king bed and its own gas fireplace for added ambiance.
- Second Level: One bedroom with a king bed.
- Second Level: A fourth bedroom perfect for kids, featuring two full beds, a sofa, and a TV for movie nights.

Step outside into your private mountain oasis. Unwind in the bubbling hot tub, surrounded by majestic Jeffrey Pines, or enjoy the safety of the fenced-in yard. The home's expansive corner lot is ideal for yard games in the summer or snow play during the winter months.

We have a large driveway that can accommodate 4 cars and a spacious two car garage.

To ensure a transparent and wonderful stay, please review these important details:
- Hot Tub Cleanings: We schedule hot tub cleanings ahead of all guest arrivals. In the event the hot tub is serviced on they day of your arrival, the spa may still be heating up do to a recent cleaning. If you notice the spa is not hot when you get to the house, please notify us so we can check with the company to confirm this is expected.
- No Air Conditioning: Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, our cabin does not have air conditioning.
- Mountain Life: Dust and pollen can accumulate quickly on outdoor furniture. The BBQ and other outdoor furniture may be stored and unavailable during winter (typically October- May). The outdoor fire pit is not available to guests year round. If used guests could be subject to a $500 fine.
- Weather & Travel: A 4WD/AWD vehicle, chains, or snow tires may be required in winter.
- Uncontrollable Events: We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances such as poor air quality during wildfire season or snow during winter. We strongly recommend purchasing external trip insurance, as our cancellation policy will be upheld.
- Safety: The home is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and a first aid kit for your safety.
- Our espresso Machine is currently out of order as of December 2025.
- Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a full list of the local STR Rules.
- Emergency Power Outage Kit: Situated in the closet next to the stairs across from the desk, this kit includes batteries and lanterns to ensure you're ready for power outages.

Aaron was amazing, attentive, quickly responded, and was very concerned and delightful to work with. The house was amazing. Kitchen was stocked. The only negative, and I mean the only negative, was they said they were two queens in the bedroom but they were doubles and we had all adults. Other than that, the property was incredible, the neighborhood perfect, location excellent. Have the best time and will definitely rent this house again! I can’t say enough good things about it. The four couples had the most amazing time.

Absolutely gorgeous house with upscale appliances and luxurious touches. Very nice clean hot tub, huge backyard made for big family and friends gathering. The house was very clean and spacious and had everything you need and more.

This house was so beautiful and big. It fit my family and my sisters’ family perfectly. The kitchen was well stocked making our cooking easy. Outside was completely too and private. We will be coming back again!

Great family getaway

Had a great time with friends at this beautiful Cabin. Cabin had everything you need including ample parking. Also very peaceful location. Absolute best get away. Host checked in everyday to see if anything was needed.
