UP visit

Had a great stay and visited Calumet and Copper Harbor! The rental was Super clean and comfortable! Very updated with the newest appliances and well stocked with everything you need for a stay! Would definitely come back again! Bonus was Great ice cream in the same building!

Great Place

It's all new and beautiful with quality appliances and furniture. Its obvious that the owner took pride in doing this place right. It's even handicap friendly! We felt pampered and spoiled!Plus, beautiful scenery is not far away in either direction.

All remodeled, perfect for snowmobiling

We enjoyed our stay and it's super close to snowmobile trails. Located on the main road is a plus and the place was basically brand new inside. All new appliances is great as is having a washer and dryer. Spacious bathroom. It's perfect for a couple or a few friends, it's basically one big room as described.

Best Stay. Perfect Place!

If you’re looking for a true getaway in the upper peninsula of Michigan look no further this place is excellent and has everything you are looking for. It is freshly remodeled and makes you feel very comfortable. If you’re tired after a day of exploring or work, this would be the place to relax for even an entire day. Will he back!

The place is fabulous. Totally redone in an open floor concept done superbly and looking like it should be featured in a magazine. Everything is modern designed with impeccable style. The bathroom is as large as many area motel rooms while you could fit queen sized bed into the shower area alone. Tile work is beautiful. I certainly did not expect anything this exquisite in such a rustic, rural area. The area it is in is the only negative. Being located on a small trianglular lot bordered by two local streets and US41 makes this a very noisy place. You cannot find peace or solitude. Even in the middle of the night. You cannot sit outside and relax. But staying in such a beautiful home takes away much of this sting.

The room was exceptionally well appointed and supplied. Very clean, wonderful finishes, extra supplies that are not typical available such as coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper and spices, creamer. These little things saves us a lot on our week stay. The only drawback was that there was no air conditioning and opening the windows and sliding door was enough but the noise level from being so close to the road was quite loud during the day. Being next to the ice cream store also creates a small issue as guests with ice cream would walk around to the side of the building and look in the sliding door. Additional there were not any departing instructions and thus to list of chores to do before we left but also got no response when we specifically asked what to do with the keys. Overall it was a great stay and we would choose this place again .

Nicely decorated interior with modern appliances. Quality mattress and bedding. Very large shower area with fantastic water pressure. Well-stocked kitchen. We were surprised to find kitchen utensils left in the dishwasher and food-soiled aluminum foil left in the oven upon arrival. We appreciated seeing a recycling bin and instructions on what can be recycled. Unfortunately, there were downsides to these accommodations. There was NO air conditioning, even though it states otherwise. That being said, we would have never stayed there, especially in August. We had a very difficult time sleeping the first two nights because of the temperature/humidity. Unbeknownst to us, it is attached to a walk-up ice cream store, so customers are coming and going and sitting at tables mere feet from the room's front door. We could also hear screaming kids and the clanking of horseshoes from the park across the street. There was little privacy or peace and quiet if the windows or blinds were open because of the activities surrounding us and the 24 hour US 41 traffic. Because of the one-room accommodations, we were also surprised to see windows on both the front and back doors. Even though window film had been placed over them, a lot of unnecessary light came in, especially if you wanted to sleep during the day. In terms of being ADA accessible, there were no grab bars and no bathroom or kitchen sink accessibility from a seated position.

Thank you for your review. Updates will be made to the South Room soon including mini-split for cooling/AC and extra heating, and blinds for the 2 doors to keep out excess light. We don’t have many hot nights in the Keweenaw (the normal 50s and 60s rolled in 2 days into your stay!), and by next summer the mini-split Ac will be available (an older AC unit was taken out). We are sorry you didn’t find all to your satisfaction ; our other reviews have been 10/10.

The apartment was fantastic! Extremely well furnished, organized, and clean. We took advantage of the kitchen and of the amenities. Easy access and parking, even with the snow.Great host. Timely and precise instructions.
