Dining & Groceries
The area offers several excellent restaurants, bars, and local attractions. Food delivery services can be limited, so guests may wish to bring groceries or plan a quick shopping trip to nearby stores before settling in.

Laundry
To maximize guest space and amenities, laundry facilities are not available on-site. For extended stays, public laundromats are conveniently located just a short drive away in Red Wing, Minnesota.

Lake Access
One of our favorite features is the walking path to Lake Pepin. During spring months, high water levels or muddy conditions may occasionally affect access to the path. If that occurs, additional public lake access points are available nearby in Maiden Rock and Bay City, both just a few miles away.

Winter Season
Winter guests can enjoy the area's popular ice-fishing season. When lake conditions permit, the nearby public lake access attracts anglers throughout the day. You may notice additional activity on the road leading to the lake, which many guests enjoy as part of the area's vibrant winter recreation scene.

We had a work event here. Everyone had an awesome time! The pool, the theater screen, and the hot tub were the highlights for sure! We will be coming back very soon!

We had a huge group stay for my 40th birthday, and everyone had a wonderful time! The house is well stocked with all necessities. There are things to enjoy for everyone who came- from swimming to hot tubbing to sitting by the fire or walking the trail to the lake. The smart home is a little too smart for me haha but there are instructions and videos for everything. The hosts are quick to respond. And the house itself is a blast! That huge fancy TV gave me anxiety near the pool but it was the biggest hit for Mario Cart and the Packer game! Highly recommend staying here with your crew!

My family and my brother's family had a mini vacation together. It was a good time had by all!The house was clean and communication with the owner was excellent.The kids and adults loved the basketball court, putting green, yard games, darts and hot tub.

we stayed for a 3-day weekend, family wedding. party of 16 the property was listed for 16, really too small for a party of this size. the kitchen is very small. no prep space, only convection oven. there was an ant infestation on the cook top, the furniture is all outside patio style, not very comfortable. the pool is nice but in the middle of the kitchen and living space and sized for about 6 to 8 people. they have signs all over to relax. hard to relax in this space with kids (the kids all had fun). if the pool area was its own space, you could shut it off and maybe have a relaxing space. the list of rules is crazy too, and why a large TV next to a pool? the smart home is not ideal, unless you are into that. crazy with the modern features there was no recycling! the 2 bathrooms were nice but terrible lighting and mirrors. we had to go buy mirrors to get ready for the wedding. also, Sunday as we were getting ready for the wedding only about 1/2 of us had showered. the plumbing backed up, had my grandsons poop floating on the floor. they did work to get it pumped the same day. the cost to stay makes it seem like it would be an awesome place to stay, in reality it was overrated for what they truly have.

Our home accommodates up to 16 guests and is designed for relaxed gatherings, pool time, and enjoying time together. Its open layout does bring the pool, kitchen, and living areas into a shared space. We encourage prospective guests to review the photos, amenities, and contact us with any questions about whether the home suits their group’s ideal stay. We regret the plumbing disruption while your family was staying with us. Your message to us only reported that the toilets simply wouldn’t flush; it did not mention a backup onto the floor. We immediately arranged for the septic system to be pumped within two hours of your message on a Sunday. We understand that a quick response doesn’t erase the inconvenience. During your stay, we only received a message about the plumbing issue. The other concerns described here weren’t brought to our attention during your stay and we would have welcomed the opportunity to address those concerns at the time. In nearly 200 stays, this is our first three-star review so we are proud of our history of positive guest experiences and strive to make every guest’s stay enjoyable.

Great getaway!

We were thoroughly impressed with the house; it was truly top-notch and equipped with everything we needed for a perfect weekend away. We made the most of the fantastic amenities, especially enjoying the pool, fire pit, and hot tub. It was such a rejuvenating experience for all of us. The perfect getaway

I stayed here for 2 nights with 4 other adults. We had a fantastic time. The property is very well thought out. The rooms are all comfortable. We plan to come back and bring more people. 8 adults could be very comfortable here. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer!

This is an amazing home clearly well thought out and built with quality craftsmanship. The pool was fantastic and the TV setup was a big hit with our group. We had issues with the TV but the owners were quick to the rescue and was able to come on site and reset it. One thing to note: we were not fully prepared for the lack of a washer or dryer which would have been helpful to know in advance. Overall a great stay.

They've thought of everything!

We absolutely loved our stay at the River Pools Cabin! The property was amazing, the communication was clear and easy, and the hosts really have thought of everything. From extra putters and golf balls for the putting green and picture instructions for the sound system to fans and USB plugs everywhere, it is very clear the hosts want guests to have a great stay at their property. And we definitely did!!
