«Le Crest» dispose d'un entraĂźnement doux pittoresque Ă  une aire de stationnement spacieuse qui est de niveau avec le chalet, situĂ© Ă  une altitude de 3200 pieds. De votre voiture, vous ĂȘtes Ă  seulement quelques pas de la terrasse couverte. Vous entrerez dans un salon spacieux et sont immĂ©diatement entourĂ© par de grandes fenĂȘtres avec des vues spectaculaires de la nature et les montagnes environnantes. DĂ©ballez, allumez la cheminĂ©e Ă  gaz et vous ne voudrez pas quitter!

Notre «sympathique animal de compagnie" chalet "sans fumée" et est proche du charme historique de Blowing Rock et la ville de plus en plus d'études collégiales de Boone. Pourtant, juste en dehors de votre mensonge de la porte 12 acres à errer, les cerfs et les dindes sauvages. Sur la propriété forestiÚre nationale voisine est Hébron Falls, avec un flux gras à suivre, ou un énorme plus audacieux juste assis sur et le poisson. Son merveilleux? ....C'est!

Les porches arriÚre couverts avant et grands sont d'excellents endroits pour profiter des matins frais, aprÚs-midi chauds, et des soirées fraßches, avec une tasse de café spécial et un livre agréable de notre bibliothÚque de lecture. Les sons environnants de la nature peut vous endormir dans un aprÚs-midi sieste reposante.

«Le Crest» est paisible et reposant, offrant un sentiment de solitude, non pas l'isolement. Vous ferez l'expérience d'un «Change- de-rythme» majeur tandis que vous appréciez la nature, sortir de la ruée de votre semaine de travail, et se sentir excité et revitalisée.

A slice of paradise!

The home had everything we needed and the property outside was amazing! The dogs loved being able to explore w/o the restriction of neighbors right next door. Hiked, visited Boone & Blowing Rock and s’mores at the firepit. We did it all!

Beautiful and peaceful

The house was wonderful and the host was fantastic. If you’re looking for a place that’s secluded, private, and quiet, this is it. The house feels like a home away from home. It didn’t feel like it was a VBRO per se, it felt like you were a guest in someone’s home. For a larger family looking for a place that’s private where everybody has their space this would be it. Like most of the access roads in the area, most of the roads close to, and leading to the house are not paved. Zero issue if you’re coming in with an SUV or a truck but if you’re planning to visit with a sports car or a loaded up sedan, keep that in mind as there are can be lots of mud and potholes and steep dirt hills. Absolutely beautiful property and super close to one of the best restaurants in the area.- the gamekeeper - which is 2 miles away. Highly recommended if you’re staying at this property. Many thanks to the host for opening up and sharing your beautiful home to us for a short time.

Beautiful spot, what a gem!

Judith takes great care of this home and it shows. Everything is thoughtfully laid out and supplied. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are supplied with space heaters, fans, black-out blinds--all the little touches that make for a comfortable stay. The views from the deck can't be beat. Short trip into Boone. Back roads to Blowing Rock were a little harder on the car but accessible. Looking forward to another stay in May when it's a bit warmer.

Cozy, Secluded, minutes from Boone and Blowing Rock

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at this secluded mountain cabin. The cozy atmosphere was perfect for winter, with a lovely gas fireplace that kept the space warm and inviting. The open-concept living and kitchen area was ideal for family time, and there were plenty of sleeping spots for both adults and kids. Our children especially loved the upper loft area with its two twin beds. The cabin is stocked with extra blankets to keep everyone comfortable, and the outdoor fire pit provided a great place to enjoy the chilly evenings. One thing to note: the road leading up to the cabin is narrow and can be tricky, especially in icy conditions, so extra caution is needed. It was an adventure for us, but younger or less experienced drivers might find it a bit challenging. Overall, a peaceful, charming retreat with great amenities for a family getaway!

Great house, perfect location

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at The Crest with 4 adults and 2 kids, and everyone had a great time. The kids loved the fire pit and loft area of the house, and we all appreciated the secluded feel while still having an easy drive to town. We were there during a decent snowfall that had roads closed, but we were still able to get up the gravel road and driveway to the cabin fine with a truck and SUV equipped with just standard tires and 4WD. We'll certainly be planning a trip back!

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. There was plenty of room for my family of five. The yard was spacious and had a nice fire pit. We accidentally left some ear buds and they were so kind to arrange them being mailed to us. We would definitely return to this place.

A cabin with a view

My wife and I just spent a wonderful week at the Crest. The view from back porch, morning and evening, is the highlight of each day spent there. The house is so well appointed with everything we needed to have a relaxing time with friends and family. We spent time walking around both Boone and Blowing Rock as well as challenging our aging knees at the Boone Forks Trail. Also, played golf at the Boone Golf Club. All of these were very close and yet we were far enough from the crowds in the Crest. Would definitely recommend this charming cabin.

We spent 9 wonderful days at this beautiful home. It is very spacious and contained everything we needed. The cool temperatures revived our souls and we did not want to return to Florida. We would love to come back.

4 Nights at The Crest

The Crest is beautiful and very comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and the view is wonderful. We saw deer, chipmunks, hummingbirds on the grounds which our young great niece found amazing! Judith is a great host and is very helpful and responsive. We would love to stay at The Crest again, hopefully for at least a week next time!

Perfect accomodation on perfect location

What a view! To be honest, the pictures are playing it down. The house is beautiful, on a location with a magnificent overview of the surroundings. It's quiet, but still close to shops and restaurants. The road is a bit steep, so a sturdy car is recommended. Kitchen is well equipped and everything works as advertised/expected. Beds are very comfortable. We had very pleasant communication with the owner. She was extremely helpful and reacted promptly to our questions. We had a great stay and will certainly come back.

We all love the Blue Ridge Mountains!

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Western North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Mountains have always been a part of both of our early years. In later years, married with children, we vacationed each summer in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a welcome escape from the Florida heat. During those vacations periods, we spent time searching for our 'own place'. An opportunity presented itself one summer, when were walking some acreage which we owned and discovered that 'The Crest,' was available and ready for a new beginning.

We have since spent time remodeling and making improvements. It is a special place for us to escape when opportunity permits. As we are not there as often as we would like to be, we enjoy having others visit! Many of our 'repeat friends' refer to 'The Crest' as 'our mountain home' when they return to visit each summer.

'The Crest' is an experience of peace and serenity. The beauty of nature is inspiring and the walk on the drive is just what my soul yearns for, after months of city life and school teaching. In fact, when the pace gets tough, I visualize the front porch, a rocking chair, a cool breeze with the sound of the wind in the trees, and the forest view down the drive. It is a great place to be and instills peace and tranquility.
