Charming and Cozy

We absolutely adored our quick stay. Beautiful room nestled above a quaint bookstore and close walking distance to the little shops and restaurants off Main in Midway. Definitely recommend!

Amazing Gem in Amazing Midway!

We stayed at Springer Farms/The Fox Room while visiting Midway and loved every minute of it. The location cannot be beat, staying above Folklore Bookstore in these impeccably designed and themed rooms. The location is about as good as it can be near all of Midway's best shops, restaurants and local amenities. The rooms are gorgeous and have everything you need to put your visit over the top including a kitchenette, spacious bathrooms and everything is new! Plenty of parking, responsive hosts - cannot say enough good things here. Thank you so much!

The room is very small, with only a toilet. The kitchen has plastic dishes, no proper knives, and no kettle to boil water. Even the most budget hotels usually provide a kettle, so it was disappointing to have to heat water in the microwave. There were about 20 pillows in the room, which felt unnecessary — four would have been more than enough. It would also be very helpful to have a small vacuum cleaner, especially for guests traveling with pets, so we could clean up after them ourselves. For the price, better amenities and comfort could definitely be expected. On the positive side, the fireplace was very helpful for drying clothes after winter activities, which we really appreciated.

The property is great! Clean and decor is so cute. You can walk everywhere! The only thing that wasn't as great was the check in process. I never received instructions for check in. It was an hour and 1/2 before check in and I had to reach out to the host for the instructions. They were finally texted to me but there was a contract I didn't even see until the morning we were checking out of the property. That was a little stressful because we were traveling to Midway and were afraid we weren't going to be able to get in. I feel like instructions need to be sent at least 24 hours before the reservation.
