Check in/out was a breeze. The neighborhood is very quiet. And is in a great central location. It is a clean house but it is a little tired. Some minor repairs need attending to (transition strip on the floor entering the bathroom wasn't attached, missing slats in the bedroom blinds, it could use more flatware and more than one wineglass.) FYI..it takes a long time to get hot water from the tap. The off street parking was nice. I'd say this is a decent rental for the price.

Clean basic place to stay

Easy to find, basic accommodations. Clean and quiet. It met our needs well. Just stayed one night to meet up with family visiting the area.

Upon walking in to the property the first thing I noticed was a can of ant/roach spray on the shelf. There was a reason because the unit had bugs. The air conditioning was turned off and there was a musty smell in the whole property. Our party was for 4 people and there were only 3 towels. We messaged the owner around 430pm and finally got a message back around 1030pm allowing us to take a towel from the "property of owner " cabinet and added for us not to take anything else which seemed rude and off setting. The carpet was stained throughout the property. The blinds had slats missing including the window that was in front of the shower. That was unsettling. We had to put a plastic grocery bag to fill the space for the window in the bathroom. There was something making noise in the dining room vent. Possibly a bird. The appliances in the kitchen were rough. The microwave was all cracked and peeling along the bottom of the door. The instructions of the owner were to leave the sheets at the foot of the beds. The double bed had yellow/brownish stains on the mattress and pillow. I did reach out to the owner when with the issues when the how is your stay message was sent and got no response. The only issue not brought up was the pillow and mattress because that was discovered upon checking out. I would not recommend this property.

Pleasant stay for 4 people with comfortable beds! There was a small issue with wet laundry left in the dryer and there is no dishwasher or garbage disposal (didn't notice these being absent as provided amenities). Otherwise, this was a comfortable stay and the house met our needs well. Thank you!

Cute little house, well maintained. Convenient location to everything. 20 minutes to St. Louis, 15 min to Mid-America airport. If you forgot it, they were prepared. It was nice to do laundry and travel home with clean laundry. They even had laundry soap. We will use them again and again. I would say they are the hostess with the mostest! See you again!

There was no national park… the house was not clean upon arrival. Could not immediately reach home owner so we had to wash linens and clean and sanitize the house. The laundry was clean and easily accessible. Laundry detergent was available but we used it all cleaning the house so we had to buy our own. Home owners did reimburse us. Home was cut and in a safe neighborhood. Home owners did do what they could to make the wrongs right.

The property was well situated.It needed a thorough clean throughout. Certain furniture was in such a poor state that the owner decided to replace it. The bathroom was unclean. Water was slow to drain from the bath because the plug hole was blocked through dirt & debris ( photo available) . Several lightbulbs needed replacing but the owners did not come at the time agreed to replace them. The property was not presented for a long stay, no kitchen towels, no spare bedding etc. kitchen utensils, cutlery, tableware were very limited. Pictures have been shared with owners.No plug for the kitchen sink for the first week of our stay.
