Welcome to the Sunset Cottage, proudly located just off main street in Glen Carbon, IL. The house is walking distance to the Madison county Rail to Trail system (miles of paved bike, run, and walking path), Miner Park, and historic Glen Carbon. The home is also walking distance to many restaurants including Glen Carbon's gem, the Wooden Nickel. The house is a 6 minute drive to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUe) campus.

We loved the location right next to the trails. Walked to the Wooden Nickel and a short drive to the Cabin. Only used the toaster, but the kitchen was well stocked. Sophie was great!We will definitely stay there again for long stays. Not economical for shorter stays because of the cleaning fee.

Great little house

Great house, good proximity to the city, surrounding area has everything you need, walking distance to a good restaurant. Air conditioning worked great when it was hot outside, and all the appliances seemed brand new/worked great.

Only think of 1 concern,I suggest putting some bars in bathroom. The bed was wonderful !! I would to like know what kind of mattress it was. Older home remodeled very well and maintained well. Had a great time.

This charming ranch house was the ideal spot for our recent birthday getaway!

Absolutely perfect

This property is exactly what we were looking for. Our daughter goes to SIUE and we will be visiting her often. We plan on staying here every time as long as it’s available.

Wonderful quite casita

Hubby and I visit his Mom every few months and have always stayed in a Hotel. Never again! Sunset Cottage was fabulous! Beds very comfortable, kitchen well appointed, very clean, perfect for our stay. Highly recommend!

In a great neighborhood and very nice and remodeled property. Still give it a 5 star but didn’t realize until we needed it that there was no washer and dryer. Would still highly recommend!

We loved your home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your charming home! It was exceptionally clean and organized, with so many extra things to improve our stay. All of the dishes, silverware, pots, etc were new, which is quite often not the case in these cottages. Nice towels and bedding, too. The owner's attention to detail surely provided us with a carefree stay and a terrific setting for a much-needed getaway!

Visiting Family

The little house was clean, private and well cared for. My mom is in an elderly facility in Glen Carbon & we wanted her to be able to spend the day with us as a family. She is 96 & needs naps so it worked well for her to lie down but be close to us. Mom love’s movies so we enjoyed streaming.
