Everything you need is a short walk from the condo, including incredible restaurants, shopping, and the Kihei nightlife. The famous Shops of Wailea with luxury shopping and dining are a short five-minute drive. The Kihei boat ramp is located right across the street where you can embark on snorkel and boat adventures. Maui Kamaole offers two pools and hot tubs with one located just steps from your condo. Or if tennis is your game, there are two courts to enjoy on property, as well as BBQ areas right outside the condo to grill up a Hawaiian style feast. This condo is truly a retreat to relax and enjoy all that Maui has to offer!

Great location and good value! Short walk to an amazing beach.The layout of the unit was a bit odd. The primary bedroom was upstairs and only separated from the rest of the unit by slats. There is no door or any real privacy for occupants of the primary bedroom. Also, most of the unit is very overdue for some updates. The shower door is so rusted it barely moves. The furniture is all worn out. The location of the unit is the main reason for the 4 stars.

First, let me just say that the location of this property is perfect, centrally located on the island directly across from an amazing beach and super close to great restaurants, shops and grocery stores. However, we were highly disappointed in the property itself. The pictures are WAY better than the actual property and the condition of the unit. There's a musty smell when you walk in. Some of the amenities were not working such as the back patio awning and the AC units struggled. It's old and needs TLC. It's the kind of place where no amount of cleaning will hide the wear and tear.Finally, I was most disappointed in the managing company. I reached out to them on day 2 of our stay to discuss the unit, an answering service took my call. I never received a call back from the managing company. I called back two days after that and asked to speak with them again before our week was through, and again received no call back. In my opinion, that's unacceptable when you are renting a property, especially for that kind of money. In the end, if you are looking for a higher end place this is not the one.

Location is the best part about this condo. Close to Kam 3, walkable to many restaurants and shops and other beaches. Even the teens enjoyed the walks without complaint up to The Shops and back many times.Honestly, this unit needs to be updated. Everywhere. Starting with the carpets… or I guess ending with the carpets since the bathrooms and kitchen all need to be fully renovated. But, the price point sort of reflected this, so again you get what you pay for. And in this case it was strictly convenience.What we didn’t appreciate was the washing machine (looks brand new, surprisingly) BREAKING DOWN, full of water laundry — TWICE — and having the repair guy into our unit (once without us there, but with approval). In addition to those inconveniences was the random and lengthy FIRE ALARM going off in our suite at all hours of the day or night. It would stop on its own, but not before waking every one in the unit. Small, distant view of ocean — but that’s Ok. It’s a quiet and private part of the complex and the lanai is large, just needs more comfortable furniture (like every other piece of furniture inside the unit). In other words, price trumped comfort, but convenience trumped it all. Which leaves me asking myself: what price am I willing to pay to sacrifice comfort. We would stay at Maui Kamaole again but not this unit — unless it gets updated.
