Cozy home located in West Hancock, a quiet and friendly neighborhood. Perfect house for families and an excellent launchpad for your Keweenaw Adventures. The garage space is exactly what you need for all your adventure gear, bikes, snowmobile, skis, and can fit one vehicle. We are centrally located to many attractions: Quincy Mine, Hancock Beach, Maasto Hiito/ Churning Rapids trails, Tech Trails, Mont Ripley, Canal Waterfront. Also, 3 miles to Michigan Tech, 12 miles to Calumet, and only 45 miles to Copper Harbor.

Spotless home. I appreciate all the extra attention to detail that were provided. The stock of spices and the well equipped kitchen was incredibly and very much appreciated. I will certainly be staying here again

The house was well stocked for our stay. We had everything we needed, and more. The beds were very comfortable. We loved having a sauna to use as well. The house is located in Hancock, which is perfect for people visiting MTU, and anywhere else on the Keweenaw Peninsula.We will definitely book again.

This was the perfect place to call home for a few days while my daughter and I took care of some school business during her co-op semester at MTU. We both noticed how clean it was. It contained everything thing we needed for our stay, from spices to pots and pans.We had a few questions when checking in and received a quick response. The beds were comfortable, and the homey decor made us feel right at home. We would not hesitate to stay here again. This owner has been thoughtful about her rental and it shows.

The beds were SO comfy! House was spacious, basement was an underrated treat! Ping pong, and a beautiful sauna area. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location - all the necessary amenities and supplies. Easy access to Mt Ripley ski hill as well as Houghton/MTU and points north in the Keeweenaw Peninsula. Sauna and garage parking were great on cold days. On site washer and dryer made it easy to do laundry before going home.

The house was extremely clean, had very comfortable beds, and was quiet. It was a great central location for skiing the area (Hancock, Tech trails, and Swedetown. There is an excellent coop just a half mile down the road to grab a few groceries. Highly recommend if you are in town to explore some local skiing.

I was concerned about the photos not being quite accurate. I could not imagine a smaller home having so much room. The upstairs bedroom was delightful, lots of natural light and charming color accents.The downstairs bedrooms were large and the beds soooo comfortable and the linens were above average for a rental. We used the grill. And cleaned it ourselves before leaving. We traveled to my nephews hunting camp near Misery Bay and had a wonderful day in the bush. The Quincy Mine and the Smelter tours were very worthwhile. We went to Houghton Douglas Falls and scaled our way to the bottom through the woods. There is a cave at the bottom. Many people wore flip flops…….., not a good idea as the territory is a rocky gorge..I visited with my childhood friend who I have known since we were 4 years old and had a wonderful reunion with lots of grins and precious memories. We went to McLain state park and my adult son took some superior rocks back to Texas…I will rent this place again. Oh, the recliner chairs in the living room were wonderful after walking all day.

We had a great stay at the West Quincy House. The house was clean, beds were super comfortable and the host thought of every amenity for our stay. Not only is the space visually appealing, but the quality of the setup creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. The sauna was amazing! The 3rd bedroom upstairs was a perfect spot for the kids. It was really nice to be able to put a car in the garage while it was snowing.

Home was well kept and communication with owner was excellent. Worked well for our visit with a child at MTU. We had 6 with us so we made do with dinner table seating for 4, but had plenty of space for sleeping and spending time together or separating after exploring the area during the day.

This is a great place to stay, and we experienced a blizzard while we were there, but the host had excellent snow removal services that took great care of us!

Adventure in the Keweenaw

We chose the West Quincy House as a central location to tour the Keweenaw and it was a great choice. The house was clean, bright, and comfortable. It was a great base of operations for us. Parking was good. The Sauna is amazing (yep, we Saunaed in the summertime). The kitchen was very well stocked.The living room and kitchen were great for up to four adults but beyond that I think things could get a little cozy. We were very happy with our choice of the West Quincy House.

Perfect little home

We came up for a short stay because my son had orientation at MTU. The house was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for a few days. My elderly parents came as well as they used to live nearby but can no longer make this drive by themselves. It was a great house for them, easy to get around and comfortable. One suggestion would be a grab bar in the main floor bathroom but they managed. Thank you

Very cozy house. Comfortable beds. Close to what we needed - visiting college campus for the weekend. Great communication with host. Teenagers enjoyed the ping-pong table in the basement and having their own space upstairs, although it was much colder upstairs than the rest of the house. It was a very chilly weekend when we visited and the sauna was a big hit! Would have given a full 5 stars but for a slight musty smell throughout the house. Maybe it had been closed up for a while before we had rented it out and it was too cold out to open up the windows and air out? Otherwise, a convenient and thoughtful rental space in a quaint and friendly town.

Comfortable, No-stress stay in Hancock

My family and I needed a place to stay for our son''s December graduation. This house was in a good location relative to MTU, as we had to make several trips back and forth from Houghton to help him move out. We found the West Quincy House to be clean, warm, and inviting. The kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry areas were well-stocked, and there was even a Christmas tree in the sitting room to greet us when we arrived. The layout of the house was perfect, as having a second bedroom and the bathroom on the main floor meant my 80 something- year-old father in-law didn't really have to use the stairs. The beds were quite comfortable, and there was ample available parking. Hostess Anjila was gracious and quick to respond with an answer whenever one was needed. Undoubtedly this would be a great place to stay for Winter Carnival, and if given the opportunity, I'd definitely stay here again.

House has all the amenities that are needed for a pleasant stay. The rooms are very comfortable and have enough space for all to enjoy. We had some children und the age of 5 that stayed with us, we really appreciated the toys that the owner had on hand along with also the playpen and high chair. Liked the use of the garage to be able store our mountain bikes and other recreational toys. Having air conditioning was a big plus for the stay. Just because it is the UP does not mean it does not get warm. Kitchen was very functional with full size stove and refrigerator. It was very nice to have all the cooking utensils and generous amount of flatware and plates available. Very nice back yard with table and chairs for outdoor dinners. I was very appreciative of the gas grill located conviently to the kitchen and outdoor dining area. When it was raining or at night ping pong table in the basement was a big hit. Most of all of us enjoyed well equipped sauna area in the basement. The full size washer and dryer in the basement made keeping the ample supply of towels clean and ready to go. Check out was very fast and easy. I highly recommend this lodging for short or long term visits.

Very clean and good location. Comfortable beds. Plenty of parking space. Well stocked. My only suggestion is it would have been nice to have soap provided for the tub and shower. Anjila responded quickly when we had questions. Would definitely stay again!

The unique side of this home comes with how cozy, yet spacious it is. The garage allows you to bring more gear, bikes, snowmobiles etc and store them safely from the elements. The basement allows for a game of ping pong, laundry and a relaxing sauna experience. The 4 queen beds leave plenty of comfortable sleeping space for families, or groups of families.
