BEACHES & CRITTERS: The beach size in Hawaii varies month to month due to heavy surf, strong currents and tides. Due to Maui's rural atmosphere you may experience the occasional rooster, as well as harmless geckos. Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaii. Please don't kill them.
IMPORTANT: Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches and rodents simply cannot be completely controlled in the tropics. Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. If our guest spot more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

The host was readily available, and the condo was very well equipped. We were thrilled to find two sets of huge sliding glass doors that fully opened and had screens so we could enjoy the sound of the waves and watch the whales breaching!It was an amazing week. I highly recommend!

The room is absolutely perfect, best room i have stayed in at the paki maui, and i have stayed at the paki maui over 10 times. Only downside is the actual property grounds, Pool tiles are falling off and sliced my foot on a missing tile, Hot tub jets do not work due to no dial on the timer ( guest used a set of vice grips to turn them on for me but even then no pressure and only had them on one day of my stay thanks to a guest that figured out the cheat code ) and then the actual access into the water from either stairs is unavailable due to disrepair. But overall i still love the property and feel like i had the pleasure of staying in the best unit there.

Well, the whole stay was amazing! We were NOT disappointed in any way with our unit.The building seemed a bit aged from the outside, as did the pool area. BUT, we loved it's charm anyway. Our unit was beautiful, hardwood throughout, so warm and welcoming. We were provided with plenty of toiletries for our stay, and the in-unit washer/dryer unit was awesome. We had fresh, clean towels every day, and even did a few loads of our personal clothing.The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare what we planned - we stopped at Costco and Safeway for just a few things we could warm up, or easily throw together. There wasn't a microwave, but we made due without. The unit was clean, no musty or moldy smells, and no critters of any kind found their way in (oh, except a giant month the size of a hummingbird...)The A/C was perfectly comfortable, when we needed it. But, the breeze and beautiful island air made us want to keep those two lanai doors wide open. The lanais overlooked the ocean directly, and while we didn't see whales this trip, we did have turtles swim by out beyond the close reef. Amazing. It was our favorite view, and every morning, we were greeted by a beautiful rainbow!Our hosts/property management were wonderful; they checked on us periodically via text and I felt like they were definitely interested in making sure we had a great visit, and desire to return!And we will! Thank you!
