Check out the koala reserve and sugar mill at nearby Broadwater or head into the hills to see the macadamia and avocado plantations. There are plenty of fine dining and budget eating options close by. The airport, with daily flights to Sydney and Melbourne is only 15 minutes away. Walk 30 metres to fish in the river or fish off the rock wall next to the beach at South Ballina. Do a lot or do a little in this fantastic studio escape.
