First Mate's Cottage Vacation Rental est une maison moderne de trois Ă©tages avec vue sur l'ocĂ©an et sur l'ocĂ©an, avec d'immenses ponts, une grande cour arriĂšre avec un bain Ă  remous pour 6 personnes, ainsi que votre propre chemin privĂ© menant Ă  la plage. Les gens adorent First Mate pour la salle de loisirs avec table de ping-pong, baby-foot et tĂ©lĂ©vision, ainsi que pour la grande cour spacieuse avec filet de volley-ball, bain Ă  remous, ballon d’attache et fosse Ă  fer Ă  cheval. La maison a beaucoup Ă  offrir Ă  tout le monde et est rĂ©servĂ©e chaque Ă©tĂ© et chaque automne.

Dormez jusqu'à 16 personnes de plus en réservant la maison voisine Admiral (Liste VRBO # 192042) pour un total de 26 personnes Les deux maisons sont gérées par Bloomer Estates Vacation Rentals.

Spring break

This house was just right for our group of 6 (4adults and 2 children), well supplied and even though we had rain lots to do with the hot tub and play room, large living area and a short walk to the beach.

Great house for 6

This place was great for the most part! The biggest issue is the septic system is only supposed to hold about 70gal/day. You have to be mindful of using too much water and setting off the alarm. Our group of 6 didnt feel we could all shower in the same day. It also limits how much laundry you can do. The listing says a 1 minute walk to the beach. Its about a 10 minute walk on a very steep path. There is public beach access a couple blocks away if you are limited mobility. The best things about this house were the plethora of games. The ping-pong table, fooseball table, and mini basketball hoop in the basement kept the kids busy for hours. They have so many board and card games to choose from. Outside the volleyball net and horseshoes were a favorite. We used the fire pit in the back yard several nights to make s'mores. They supply a large number of sand toys and even some kites for beach going. Overall this house provided everything we needed and we would rent it again.

Family beach fun

Nice trail to beach, plenty of beach toys for the kids, hot tub available, fireplace for evenings, yard games, volleyball, horseshoes, tetherball, plenty of yard chairs, deck and bbq for afternoon hangouts. House is well stocked with necessities for day to day, indoor games, movies, game room and kitchen gadgets. Plus coyotes, deer and bald eagles.

Great family time!

We had a great time and the house was perfect for our multi-generational getaway. Everyone was comfortable and we were able to have local family (2 cousins and one of their spouses) join us one of the days. There was room for everyone to visit, have a meal together. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable and it we all slept well. Thanks for hosting us!

Clamming Trip

First Mates Cottage is a very roomy very clean house, nice and close to good clamming beach area's and our favorite store 'Jack's Country Store'. If you are coming to clam, they have 8 clam guns, altho they aren't the best. They have games for kids. A very big yard and hot tub. Be sure to bring your own presto logs as they only supply two and they are very expensive to purchase on the coast. We were allowed an early check in which was great, fee charged but fine with us. No late check out as they had contractor's coming but again worked out fine as we needed to be on the beach by (am for the clam tide. Can't go wrong with First Mate's, I just wish they had better signage at the entrance to the driveway, and both ways. We missed it every time coming from the beach because the speed limit is 50, so people are right up on you as you are slowly trying to find your turn.

Good space

We had a nice stay at the First Mate house. It's not super fancy or stylish but it was clean and well stocked with a good layout of rooms for our group. It's a bit of a journey to the beach but it's a nice trail. The water is visible from the front decks and we were able to catch some nice sunsets.

HUGE spacious home!

House is very well maintained and super clean! Watch out for pokeys in the grass play area-NOT kid or dog friendly. We learned quickly to skirt that area. Quite a long walk to beach, but beautiful! The hot tub was sublime! Careful with the lid of hot-tub, it’s very heavy and hard to close-but worth it!

Quiet Getaway

This place is perfect for a family or even two families to vacation together if you're looking for quiet, removed from town, but also within 10 minutes of plenty to do, groceries, restaurants, etc. The game room and hot tub are really nice adds to the four bedrooms (two for adults, two for 1-2 kids each). Also, the WiFi was super speedy, which is great since the cell signal is spotty out there. Would stay here again, and possibly with another family/couple (although having 'too much house' isn't a bad way to go for small families like us also).

Fun activities. Fully stocked kitchen and linens. Nice place. Hottub unusable. Upstairs King saggy.

We really loved nearly everything about this place. The location, the household items, linens, nicely done home and decor. However, the 2 things we needed most on this vacation were the hot tub and a good bed. If they fixed those two issues we would definitely come back. It really was very nice otherwise. The hot tub had obviously not been cleaned or maintained. Green algae, hair, yard and tree debris, and slime coated the intake for the pump. The upstairs mattress is very saggy and made it impossible to sleep in. Ended up sleeping on the twin mattress.

We had a very nice stay! We had 6 adults and 2 infants and it was the perfect size for our group. The game room downstairs was fun, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the walk to the beach was short and easy. Communication with the host was very easy. We were very happy with our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house has plenty of room, the kids love the game room in basement, the walk to the beach is not too far. The only complaint has to do with the hot tub. The cover has 4 holes underneath that have been plugged by tape and various plumbing plugs. One of the plugs that was glued in came out and little styrofoam beads went everywhere! But overall an older but great spot to stay if you need plenty of room
