Cabane de montagne en peluche avec bain à remous 20 jets, foyer au gaz, lit queen-size avec literie de luxe, douche sans porte, télévision satellite de 40 pieds, Internet sans fil, barbecue à gaz, télescope haute puissance et bien plus encore.
La cabine est située à quelques minutes d'Asheville, de Blue Ridge Parkway, de Mt Pisgah et de Biltmore Estate. Il existe également de nombreuses activités d'aventure en plein air à proximité: randonnée, rafting en eau vive, kayak, pêche à la mouche, vélo de montagne, escalade et cascade.

Passez la journée dans le centre-ville d'Asheville à manger, goûter à nos bières locales, faire du shopping ou regarder les gens.

Excellentes excursions dans les petites villes voisines: Waynesville, Hendersonville, Brevard, Flat Rock, Chimney Rock, Highlands et Cashiers. Itinéraires panoramiques à chacun, avec de bons endroits pour le déjeuner. Profitez des boutiques d'artisanat local dans l'atmosphère pittoresque des petites villes de montagne.

A wonderful cabin that is located next to Pisgah National Forest but is still close enough to town to be convenient. Very clean, well decorated and peaceful place to stay. Would definitely recommend for a couples getaway.

Tammy is from North Carolina and has directed non-profit youth programs and a local AmeriCorps program.

Both Carmen and Tammy work to be good stewards of the land, these mountains and our mother earth: growing our own fruits and vegetables, preserving them for the winter, recycling and composting all garbage,trying to reuse instead of buying new when possible. Efforts are always made to buy local and American made products.

After a great deal of planning and hard work, Carmen and Tammy are excited to invite you for a luxurious, romantic stay in our new cabin!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Tammy and her ex-partner, Carmen planned and built this cabin with their own two hands, while continuing to work full-time. It took two years! Starting with the goal of building a cabin with a small carbon footprint and utilizing green building techniques the two women started the project. WOW, what a project! A local builder got us off to an amazing start. With lots and lots of hard work and the loving support of our families the cabin was completed in August, 2012.

Why the property? Tammy spent most of her childhood in this area and fell in love with the beauty and majesty of these mountains in the Pisgah National Forest at an early age. When looking to move back to the area and purchase a home in 1991, she would only look at homes in the Candler/Upper Hominy area believing this to be the most beautiful community in the Asheville area. Twenty years ago Tammy began to clear land and landscape the 4-acre property. The project was worth it, as it is now a mountain oasis beyond belief.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The cabin provides all of the modern comforts in a peaceful wooded setting at the base of Mt. Pisgah. The fall and winter views of the mountain through the large glass windows are spectacular. The wooded canopy of oaks, poplar and maple cover the mountain view during the summer months, and provide cool shade for relaxing outside on the deck or patio.

The cabin was built so that passive solar would assist the heating and cooling. In addition, NC made eco panels, rostra block and other sustainable products were used as our building materials making it very well insulated, so it will use very little energy. The tankless water heater and radiant floor heat are also eco-friendly ways to conserve energy while allowing our guests to try out these new 'green' products out for themselves.

The 100 year old oak barnwood posts and inside trim throughout the cabin took several months to pull rusted nails, plane and refinish. The wood was purchased in Candler for $100.

The cabin is centrally located to so many diverse day-trip activities. There is something for everyone here!
