Overall, this was a very comfortable place to stay. We missed a few essential items in the kitchen, such as hot pads, dish towels, basic spices for cooking, cleaning products. The location is in between two major arteries in town and the traffic noise was noticeable especially at night but ear plugs helped while sleeping.

House was great and super roomy. Made our stay visiting friends more comfortable. Way better than staying at the hotels in town where you can hear the train.

The place was exactly what our family needed for our stay in Tehachapi. It was enough removed for the city for quiet nights, but easy access to places we wanted to visit.

It was just ok. This home doesn’t have stunning views as advertised. All you can see out the windows in the front of the home is tall bushes or trees. If you look out back you are surrounded by junkyards. The kitchen light didn’t work and the kitchen cabinets needed upgrading as they were falling apart. This home has ants so we could not leave anything on the counter. There were spiders and potatoe bugs in the house. Spider webs in the sliding glass door windows. No icemaker. It was clean but had an odor of something in the kitchen. The towels were nice and soft, the beds were clean and comfortable. They have window air conditioners in every room so that was a plus. It looks like they are trying to refurbish but haven’t done the kitchen. Very basic necessities. Bring your own everything except toilet paper and k-cups for the keurig. I tried to email the host and never got a response. I’m glad it wasn’t that important.

Completely exceeded our expectations!

We had 4 co-workers come to help us with the required Kern County fire clearance (which is a big job) and wanted to put them up somewhere nice. We could not have asked for a better place than Joani's property. It is large, very clean, well equipped and had a beautiful view and a back yard to boot! I will say that I don't think the pictures represent just how nice her place really is. We were all very tired after working long hours every day and the guys were happy to come home to a full kitchen and lots of space to relax.There were 3 bedrooms, each with their own beds and Joani provided a queen air mattress so that everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. Having 2 bathrooms was fantastic as well as a washer/dryer!The property is easy to find and close to town to pick up snacks, head out for meals, go to the movies or just wander around the nice variety of shops and museums.Joani could not have have been a more accommodating host. She answered all our questions, was able to accommodate us on short notice and her property is head and shoulders above anything else in the area.We will definitely stay with Joani again and cannot recommend her beautiful place enough!

My only complaint about my stay was there was no instructions on how to use the pellet stove. No instructions for check out. Most VRBO's I stay in have a binder with instructions for different things and expectations for checkout. I enjoyed my stay.

Nice, comfy and spacious!

We came to California to visit family and decided to stay at this beautiful property for 10 days. The check in process was very easy and Joani our host was super communicative all the time. Everything in the house was exactly as listed. Very spacious, very comfortable and clean. I also loved that the kitchen was fully supplied, so we were able to easily cook variety of meals during our stay. We would definitely stay here again when coming to Tehachapi and recommend it 100%!
