Your family will enjoy this lake home on the shores of Knife Lake centrally located just an hour north of the Twin Cities in Mora, MN. This charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin offers the perfect getaway for families and friends seeking to connect with nature and enjoy all Knife Lake and the surrounding area have to offer! This cozy lakefront home has a beautiful view of the lake with a private dock, fire pit and three season porch. 2 kayaks are available for use at the property.

Other things to note:
Knife Lake is beautiful year round, during the winter months you can enjoy ice fishing and being located on a groomed snowmobile trail. There is a boat landing within walking distance for easy access to the lake. In addition we are located next to the Crow's Nest which offers a full service bar, restaurant, Off-sale liquor/convenience store and bait shop. Across Hwy 65 is also the Northwoods Steakhouse for your convenience also.

Very clean, well equipped cabin. Had plenty of towels, hand towels, wash clothes, etc. Plenty of nearly new dishes, silverware, utensils for making meals on site. Comfortable beds and couches in the main living room area. Access to Kayaks was an added bonus to have in addition to our own boat we brought and docked at the dock. Very convenient to be able to stroll across the road to get live bait, gas, alcohol and convenience store items like smore supplies. Grill is charcoal so be prepared for that if you plan to grill. Owners supplied plenty of charcoal, lighter fluid, matches, bins for ash etc. Lots of added touches, couldn't recommend this place more!

Cozy stay at Mora Mn

The property included everything needed for a comfortable stay. Very clean and well decorated with a beautiful lake side access and view. The Kayaks were an aditional perk that was enjoyed.

Wedding weekend

Great location with great bar/restaurants within walking distance. Boat launch is very close and it's a very nice lake that you can see great sunsets out on the water. Hosts were fantastic and responded extremely quickly with any questions. Good sized yard with room enough for activities and great seating area to sit around and enjoy a fire. P.S. the Crow's Nest next door has amazing prime rib!

I got married over the weekend and wanted to be close by the venue, with easy access to potty my dogs. Bruce and Michielle were absolutely wonderful to work with! They were always prompt in answering my questions. Their home is beautiful and very clean. The view of the lake was stunning as well. We were within 10 mins of the main town of Mora too.If possible I would rate them 10 outta 10 and would definitely recommend!

I wasn't going to write a review, as the cabin was clean and functional. But a couple of things to note: You will have to put down an obscenely large deposit or are required to purchase insurance for damages. Also, you're sent a HUGE "Manual" that you're expected to read and respond back to in writing that you agree with the rules. I could tell right off the get-go that they should not be renting this place out.... I digress. Also, the "condo" that is attached to the cabin was the same door code as ours, NOT SAFE. Did not appreciate that, especially with kids with us. The Wi-Fi rarely worked, so have low expectations there. The main AC unit NEVER turned on, not 1 time in 3 days, and they will not allow you access to the remote. It was HOT in the main living area. The "lake" is more of a large pond, EXTREMELY weedy offshore and dock - so bad that no one wanted to get into the water. It is not a watersports type of lake, you'll need to drive a good 15 mins to Wissota for that. Fishing was almost non-existent off the dock and my teens tried. The entire area is clearly a retirement community type location. So don't expect other kids around, it is VERY very quiet and sparse for people in general. The cabin is clean and well stocked though.

We had a lovely stay at Bruce and Michelle's home on the lake. There was plenty of space for our family, and we particularly appreciated the use of the two kayaks to go explore the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we were able to duck over to the store at the Crow's Nest just across the street to pick up a couple of grocery items that we'd forgotten. It was a great place for our family weekend!

The house was perfect for a long be weekend with family, exploring area rivers on our canoes! The location is perfect, the house was spotless, our hosts were very communicative, and the view was excellent. I'm so grateful for the option to bring our dog along, it wouldn't have been the same without her on the trip. Thank you for such wonderful accommodations!
