Carboneras is situated in the protected area of the Cabo de Gata one of the most beautiful and unspoilt coastlines of Spain. Once solely fishing village it now caters for visitors all year round. Fishing is still prominent and you may want to take part yourself or just sample the produce in one of the many fine local restaurants. These days Carboneras also has much more to offer with a large leisure marina, beachfont promenade, scuba as well as the miles of beautiful beaches including the famous Playa de los muertos next to the village. It is also well situated for local golf courses, Vera water park, Mojacar, the caves at Sorba, Nejar and much more, so whether it is sport, action or just relaxation Carboneras has a lot to offer and our apartment makes for the perfect base to explore the region. Also with its good motorway links Almeria, the Cabo de gata and Granada are not too far away.
