Wonderful lakeside vacation

The house was very comfortable, clean and the hosts thought of all the details. The views were incredible and the beach area was so much fun for the whole family. We would gladly return!

Wonderful place!

We really enjoyed our stay here! Very cute home, stocked well with all appliances/utensils we would need. Outdoor space was amazing and beds were comfy!! Doug and Veronica were great hosts and easy to communicate with! Would definitely stay here again :)

Great location and a beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay at Doug and Nica’s beautiful home. The location is ideal with close access to many of our favorite spots in the Finger Lakes region and beautiful views of Lake Cayuga. The amenities were so helpful especially the well stocked kitchen and the canoe. We hope to visit again!

The house was exactly as pictured and described. The location was absolutely perfect. Super comfortable for our group of 7. Doug was great with communication and we are looking forward to staying again soon!

Awesome Memorial Day Weekend at the lake with extended family! We couldn’t have been happier with the property. Very clean, spacious, and great outdoor spaces! We will definitely be back!

The house is perfect and the location is awesome. The views were outstanding! The property owners were wonderful to deal with and left us a nice bottle of wine for our stay! It was a wonderful experience. We would definitely rent this home again!

very clean, lots of space, the dock and lake are wonderful. 3 generations of family were able to enjoy each other, the lake, and wine country. The Cayuga Lake Creamery was a favorite with the kids as was jumping off the end of the dock!!!

Beautiful location!

2nd time staying at this location and it did not disappoint. Great communication with owner smoothed the way for checkin and checkout. Spectacular views of lake Cayuga and wonderful outdoor living. The house is perfect for our extended family of 8 that includes two teens. Workable kitchen and bonus room. We’ve already booked for next year!

Perfect lake getaway

Leased this property for an extended weekend stay to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. The property has everything you would want as far as amenities and space. It was very clean, the back porch is worth it on its own with a lot of space, grill, fire pit, and plenty of cushioned seating. The view of the lake is great and we could have just sat out there all day, every day. Very nice stairway down to the lake, with canoe, fire pit and dock (with seating and a ladder to get in and out of the lake). The hosts are super nice, easy to reach, and provided us with a ton of information. Couldn't have asked for more for our stay and would highly recommend.

Family gathering

This is a wonderful location on the lake with a home that provides plenty of space both inside and out! Our family if ten found multiple ways to play games, enjoy water sports and campfires. I highly recommend this location. Many thanks to Doug and Veronica!

Great lakeside property

The house was perfect for our multi generational family of nine. The location on the lake was perfect; we rented a boat and the kids fished off the dock. The kitchen has all the dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils you could possibly need. We ate a lot of meals in due to the size of our party. We would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in the Finger Lakes.

Great place for family gathering

Booked this Lake home for nine of us to celebrate a milestone birthday. There was plenty of space for sleeping and socializing. The deck was beautiful and the waterfront was so fun despite the stairs going back up! We loved using the fire pit table at night. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. I thought it was a great central location for wineries and breweries. We had such a beautiful weekend with great weather. Thank you.

Fabulous VRBO on lake Cayuga

Our family with adults and 2 preschoolers had a really lovely time at this VRBO. Doug was very responsive to our concerns about enough seating inside for meals since the pictures showed 4 chairs at the dining room table. We were able to fit 11 chairs to the table. The house was very clean and a beautifully remodeled kitchen fully equipped with what we needed and we ate most of our meals at the house. The owner was also quick to respond when we locked ourselves out of the house. We loved the dock for fishing and the kayak, canoe, and row boat added great enjoyment for our group. It’s definitely a very comfortable home! We would definitely return if coming to the area again!

Another fabulous week at the lake

This was our third amazing stay at Doug and Veronica’s lake house. The house is perfectly equipped for our multi generational family. The six of us had plenty of room to spread out and relax. Mornings included coffee on the deck watching the sunrise over the lake. Evenings were wine by the firepit or on the Adirondack chairs on the dock. The kitchen is so well equipped we hosted a larger family dinner. The grill is clean and easy to use. The cornhole set was popular with the kids and their 73 year old grandma (me!) Smores by the wood firepit were yummy! The beds are all comfy and the air conditioning kept us cool on the hot days. Plenty of towels too. We especially love walking over to Buttonwood Winery across the street for wine slushies. Yum! It was a magical week and there is so much more to say, but trust me, if you want a relaxing week on Cayuga Lake with friends and family, choose this house. You will not be disappointed!

Best family house on Cayuga Lake

Simply said, we LOVE this house. Our extended family meets in Romulus for one week in July. We rent several houses in the area and White Haven is the best. It is spacious, immaculately clean, well equipped with everything you could possibly want and need. Our family group of two young teens, four younger adults and a couple of seniors all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Coffee on the dock in the morning. Wine on the back deck in the evening. Bonfires, s’mores, corn hole, barbecues, morning swims and so much more. My only advice is if you want to rent this house book early. But keep in mind, bring bug spray. If you hate bugs, a lake house isn’t for you. Thanks for an another amazing week. We’ll be back!

Family vacation BEST location

We had an absolutely wonderful time at your house. The bedrooms worked out perfectly, as did the big dining room table for meals and especially games. We ate several meals out at the picnic table and loved using the grill. The decks were so nice for lounging, reading and catching up with each other. Had lots of fun at the waterfront area, especially the kids with marco polo etc. We were able to put our kayak in at deans landing and paddle over to uour dock for the week. We used each one of your boats at some time or another. So beautiful. Had smores around the fire on our last night together. LOVED the kitchen! It was very easy to work together to make some pretty good meals. Loved our wine tasting at Buttonwood winery. Your place is the perfect location to see Taughannock state park, Buttermilk falls and even a college visit to Rochester. Our only complaint was that the Canada wildfire smoke made for several murky days where you couldn't see the other side of the lake. It was like a moonscape. Certainly not your fault. Even Watkins Glen and Senaca was fogged in. Made for some mysterious views... pretty hard to predict that kind of situation! Your house was just perfect for our family. Thank you so much for sharing it through VRBO.

Just, wow!

This is a great property! Excellent views, the ability to sit on the dock, or sit under the shade of a tree while sitting by the water. The deck is impressive with a view of the water. The house is well stocked with every kitchen utensil we needed. We had 6 adults, ranging in age from 37 to 71 and 2 children, 11 and 13. We always had something to do - sit by the water, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and biking. Several eagle and osprey sightings added to the good times. There were also plenty of board and card games available. We even got the teens to put their screen down for several bonfires with s’mores. We’ve stayed at VRBO locations from Michigan to Vermont, and this was, by far, the best stay for the entire extended family.

Simply the best

Just can’t say enough good things about this wonderful house! Our multigenerational family group of 7 with ages ranging from 11-70, were there got a week, Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. What’s not to like??? The gorgeous lake views from the two level decks, the beach and dock with boats, floats, chairs, and fishing poles. Even an old willow tree that provided shade. We cooked in the renovated kitchen which has everything you could ever want for preparing farm to table meals. We grilled outside and had s’mores by the outdoor wood fire pit. We also played board games by the gas fire pit on the deck. This house has comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning and a great TV for movies after dark. The kids especially loved the fireflies and bunnies that come out at night. The older kids loved the Buttonwood Winery right across the street (Wine slushies!) and the beer garden right down the road. We loved our stay so much we already booked two weeks next summer, thanks so much!!!

An amazing stay on the Cayuga lake

The property is very well equipped and clean. Location is perfect, a very nice winery is located just across the road and can be reached by foot. But the best part was the outside sitting area with a beautiful deck and an amazing view + a private little beach with a fire pit. We loved it!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Willow Haven was too good to be true!! It was one of THE BEST properties we have stayed at in a long time! It was super clean, well stocked with linens, kitchen basics, games, etc. The view is absolutely SPECTACULAR! There is plenty of space for a large group! It’s also in a perfect location- plenty of wineries and hiking trails close by! We did not want to go home! Thank you for an incredible weekend Doug and Nica!! Everyone wants to return one day!!
