Our house features 3 beautifully furnished bedrooms with plush beds, soft linens, and storage for your belongings. The open-concept living and dining area is perfect for winding down after a day of sightseeing or enjoying a meal with loved ones. Overall, worked out okay for my family visiting MKE for a one-night stay. Good: Clear check-in instructions. The kitchen, bedrooms, and living spaces were clean and tidy. Host responded to questions via messaging. Friendly neighbors. Not great: Smoke alarm was chirping for low battery, host's recommendation was to remove the battery. Hall bathroom sink had a moldy towel underneath to catch water from a leaky pipe.

Thank you for your review and for choosing to stay with us. We're glad to hear you found the home clean, appreciated the check-in instructions, and that our team was responsive during your stay. We'd also like to provide a little context regarding the items you mentioned. The smoke alarm began chirping due to a low battery later in the evening. Because the home is equipped with multiple smoke alarms throughout the property, and to avoid interrupting your stay with a late-night maintenance visit, we suggested temporarily removing the battery from the chirping unit and planned to replace it immediately after checkout. The battery has since been replaced. Regarding the towel under the bathroom sink, we were not made aware of this during your stay. After inspecting this area post-stay, it appears a used cleaning towel had inadvertently been left from the cleaning team prior to your stay. We have since removed it and addressed the issue with our cleaning team to help ensure it does not happen again. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue improving the experience for future guests. Thank you again for staying with us, and we wish you and your family all the best.

We had a really nice stay at Donald’s place! The home is small, but clean, comfortable, and a bit updated, which made it easy to settle in. The neighborhood itself is quiet and felt relaxing. Just a little note for future guests—if you’re planning to walk to the downtown spots, the route does go through an area that feels a little sketchy, so I’d suggest going with a group. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and would happily recommend Donald’s home as a cozy spot close to downtown.

This seems to be a rare instance, as we’ve hosted a wide range of guests throughout the summer without any concerns regarding the cooling. The property is currently equipped with a standard airflow unit, but we understand that comfort can be subjective and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We did our best to accommodate your needs - including welcoming two additional guests at no extra charge and completing a partial refund, even though it was well outside of our usual policy. Thank you again for staying with us, and we’ll certainly take your feedback into account as we continue to improve for future guests.
