Ideal spot for ice skating, swimming, sun bathing, fishing and making unforgettable memories with family and friends. This 5,378 SF retreat features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and living/rec spaces on each level, with a 2nd kitchenette area on the upper and bar on the lower and is the perfect location for large family gatherings and an ideal rental for groups or corporate events. All 3 levels walkout to the stunning lake views. Superb clarity and fantastic fishing. Enjoy the fire ring, kayaks, playground, Stand Up Paddle board, ice fishing opportunities. Enjoy a piece of history, as this is the original site of locally, well-known Horseshoe Ballroom and in 2006 was magnificently renovated to this extraordinary waterfront dream. Amazing stay for a large family gathering. Plenty of sleeping areas!! Something to do for everyone. Game room was a huge hit! Beach area was amazing! Fire pit for smores did not disappoint! Horseshoe lake is a quiet relaxing area. We even went for a few walks on the country roads. The upper deck was the perfect place to take in the stars at night. Kristi is a phenomenal host who was quick to answer every question. Bob the maintenance guy was so sweet and helpful when showing us the ropes for the pontoon and hot tub. This place is an absolute hidden jewel!!

Our group loved the sunlit common areas with fun table games and so much space to spread out. The hot tub overlooking the lake is lovely and got lots of use. The bedrooms are comfy and the whole place has new, high-quality furnishings and nice touches throughout. Looking forward to returning!

This stay was perfect for our big family of 20. With adults and kids of all ages there was space for everyone to spread out and enjoy all indoor and outdoor activities. We loved sledding, ice skating, ice fishing outside as well as board and card games, crafts and lots of eating inside. The bedrooms have a great layout making it easy to sleep everyone. With 3 bathrooms there was plenty of time for all. The open main floor was the perfect space for us all to gather for our Christmas morning opening gifts with the fireplace and tree. The hot tub was a great addition on those cold nights under the stars. We cannot wait to come back in the summer to enjoy even more of the activities this wonderful home has to offer.

Made for a great bachelor/ette weekend!

The space was humongous and allowed for the 10 of us to hangout all weekend! The private beach made for quite a relaxing day. The property provided a giant yard for games, big bonfire pit, kayaks and a giant lily pad for floating. The hosts provided everything we needed like beach towels, dry wood and a blackstone for grilling. Communication was fast and convenient and I would definitely stay here again!! This sounds like a paid review but it was just that great!

We were very happy with the whole place, inside and out. There is plenty of sleeping, we had 8 adults and 5 children from the ages of 2 to 15. Lots of things to do inside and outside. After staying with all the kids at quite a few cabins over the years this is one of our favorites. When I had to get in touch with the owners about a couple of things they answered in a timely manner and were very helpful.

Bachelor Party

This property is AWESOME! We had a bachelor party there and had 12 guests. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in and the amenities that this place offers is above and beyond! Lake is good sized, the beach is HUGE and the pontoon is the cherry on top for a nice cruise around the lake or fishing! Would highly suggest this property for large party’s. Thank you to the host for making my buddy’s bachelor party very memorable!

Family Wedding in Clarissa

We had a family wedding in Long Prairie with reception in Clarissa. The Mother of the groom(my 1st cousin ) lives in Pine Island Lake . We wanted to spend the weekend. There were 10 of us. We were able to bring our boat and spend time on the lake - it was wonderful! This place was awesome - nice and spacious for 10 people. Definitely beats 5 mediocre hotel rooms in Long Prairie. This rental was only a 10 min back road drive to/from reception hall. We highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be booking again for the next family gathering in Browerville! Thank you so much!!

Summer retreat for the fam!

Communication from start to finish was great. Kristi was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Upon arrival, kids were over the moon excited with all the amenities! Photos don't do this home justice. It's far exceeded our expectations. Clean, fun, lots of space - offered everything we could have imagined. Beach was great! Lily pad was also fun for the kids. Caught enough for a small fish fry our last night! Great to have the fish cleaning station as well!! We also didn't realize it's an Amish community so seeing the horse and buggies were a pleasant surprise. Weather wasn't great unfortunately, which makes it hard to entertain teens without much nearby (outside a cute ice cream shop). We rented the boat, however, only for two days due to cost and size. It couldn't accommodate our whole family - it's not an entertainment pontoon, but more of a fishing pontoon which seems expensive for that reason. Overall, it was a wonderful place to retreat to with your fam!

Had a great stay! Very clean! Lots of sleeping spaces for large family. Note for future renters- my family of 15-17 for 5 days used up most of the paper towels, TP, dishwasher tablets by our last day. Would also have liked to have more dining supplies... was glad to have brought paper plates and napkins as the rental did not have sufficient plates & bowls.

Hi, we're the Measners! We purchased the ballroom house in 2025 because it's a perfect place for family to meet. We're no stranger to large family gatherings as Kristi is the youngest of 8, and we have 6 kids and a group of Grandkids that grows in size every year! We immediately knew we had to own this property. The lake alone, gives off good energy and is a great place to relax.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Kristi grew up 4 miles from here and her parents met at the ballroom when it first opened in 1950, and had their wedding dance here the same year. Growing up nearby, she saw the original building when it was a supper club with a ballroom attached to the side, the ballroom held many wedding reception and hosted local bands for years until it was retired in 2006 and demolished. However, the supper club still stands and was beautifully remodeled into the house you see today. We wanted his house to create memories with our family, but to also give our community the chance to enjoy this historic part of Browerville, and give it life again. We cannot wait to host more families here, looking to create beautiful memories of their own
