absolutely one of the best experiences we’ve had on Vrbo! The host went the extra mile to put in the creativity, super quality, and comfy experience in this house during our stay. Host communicated well and provided extra help when we needed it! Can’t wait to come back! Easy to walk to town and close to everything you need!

Loved this stay! As a family it was great to find a space that was so welcoming and homey feel. Not to mention we loved the 90s theme. Both our children enjoy it, from the board games to the movies it was the perfect get away.

Property looked better than the pictures. Nearby to downtown Manistee, and within 10 minutes from basically averything else, attractions, casino, grocery stores, etc.

We had an amazing time! Everything we needed was provided from snacks and drinks, activities, toiletries - even spare batteries for the remotes! The 90s vibe was everywhere and expertly crafted. It was very clean, also.

Thank you for your cute place. We will stay again. It's difficult to find a place that takes our pup and she was so comfortable. We had a great time. Great location. Nice, clean, quiet with all the amenities we needed and decor we loved. We hope that next time we are able to stay for more than a weekend.

Great Summer trip to Manistee

My best friend and I had a very comfortable, clean, and enjoyable stay here. We loved the 90s theme and decor. The hosts were great and very responsive! They provided many extras that other places done such as coffee, creamer, and bottled water. We would definitely come back! Close to downtown shops, restaurants, and the beach!

Me and my husband had a fun stay at the Retro Retreat! J.P. was very friendly and accommodating. She even left us some cookies to help celebrate my birthday! Overall, we were entertained by all the 90’s decor, movies and games. What a trip!

A Blast From The Past

We absolutely loved our stay at the 90’s house. The theme could not have been done any better, as you were reminded around every corner of a time we hold dear. There were classic video game systems, great movies to watch, and a pleasant deck to go out and spend time on. Our hosts communicated with us very well when we needed it, and that was much appreciated. The property is super close to downtown and the lake. 10/10 would stay again!

Nostalgic 90’s

We had a blast at the Retro Retreat- we are already thinking about when we could come back! The 90’s theme was super fun with amazing attention to detail! We had hoped to spend more time exploring the outdoors in the Manistee area, but the weather didn’t cooperate. This was not an issue- the cozy house is equipped with multiple video game systems, lots of board games, and movies on VHS, DVD, and streaming. We really enjoyed our time there and definitely recommend it!

Awesome Stay in the 90's!!!

What a blast!!! There's a little taste of the 90's on the door to greet you, but get ready! As soon as you open the door, you are walking back into time! From the Simpsons to Rugrats, a FRIEND'S themed kitchen to the Nickelodeon themed bedroom to help you reminisce or introducing your children to your childhood!!! They have board games and video games to keep you busy for days!!! Everyday we were there, we were still finding stuff that we hadn't seen yet! The house is right in town, close to the grocery store and the beach! The host was available for great communication and very helpful! Definitely recommend!!!!

My family and I are so happy we found the Retro Retreat for our mini vacation this summer. We loved that we could explore the town of Manistee and then come home to so many forms of entertainment. The many video game consoles were of course a favorite. The house was incredibly clean and stocked well with anything we would need during our stay. We were also within walking distance of the beach and downtown area. Thanks for having us!

My adult family of 6 and I stayed here with a couple dogs over 4th of July weekend and we couldn’t be happier. The pictures don’t show just how big the place actually is! It had plenty of room, it had a very cool outdoor seating area with lights, easily walkable to town and beach although with beach chairs we decided to drive. Meijer right around the corner. There was even a mini 3/4 fenced in yard for the dogs to use the restroom which made my life way easier. A park nearby to walk the dogs to as well. On top of all that- the unit was shockingly private being behind the host home, super clean, had everything we could’ve needed and some, and the owner and his wife were super cool. When we had a quick question they were there to answer and help. Price was amazing, location is perfect, and just 100/10 stars. I would absolutely book this unit again! Thank you!!!
