Belle maison de campagne sur 31 hectares de belle campagne irlandaise à seulement 10 minutes de Castletown Berehaven sur le célèbre Ring of Beara. La maison est bien aménagée, confortable et constitue une merveilleuse escapade en famille. La propriété est à seulement 200 mètres à pied du rivage du célèbre et pittoresque port de Bearhaven pour ceux qui s'intéressent à la pêche ou à une belle baignade rafraîchissante. Plusieurs kilomètres de sentiers de randonnée serpentent dans la propriété pour ceux qui souhaitent explorer la propriété ou simplement faire une promenade paisible à travers les bois. La maison est dominée par Hungry Hill, une partie de la chaîne de montagnes Caha pour les randonneurs plus aventureux et ceux qui recherchent une vue imprenable sur le port de Bearhaven, la baie de Bantry, l'île de Bere et un bon segment de la péninsule de Beara. Pour les acheteurs de votre groupe, il existe de nombreuses petites boutiques d'art et d'artisanat nichées dans les petites villes de l'Anneau de Beara. We had a gorgeous two weeks at this property enjoying most aspects of the stay.The area is outstanding with lots of hikes and site seeing to be had, admittedly if the weather is good which luckily for us it was!In the immediate vicinity there is a small beach that looks out on Bantry Bay with crystal clear waters, great for a swim. This is around 2.5 mins walk from the house.The house itself is quite spacious and clean but would benefit from a face-lift in some areas (bathrooms and kitchen). That said this didn't detract from our enjoyment.The garden is large with a sloping lawned area and a nice view of part of the bay. Ample parking for cars. WiFi no problems.Communication with the host was clear and friendly and the lady who looks after the place was helpful and kind.Overall we had a great holiday and would recommend.

This was an absolute dream home and location for our family vacation. You truly have a private, coastal getaway with hiking, fishing and a gorgeous home to play games, spend sweet time together as a family making meals, reading in the sunroom and enjoying the nearby village. Every place you turn is filled with such rich history and we were beyond blessed to stay here. So thankful!

John was a great host, accommodating and easy to communicate with. The house was clean and very comfortable, and well appointed. The setting of this property is stunning! The view from the conservatory is of Bere Island, in Bantry Bay. One of the trails on the large property led us to a forest of bluebells and moss covered trees, so gorgeous. A short walk down the quiet woodsy lane will take you right to the Bay. The house itself is in a very quiet and relaxing spot, but only ten minutes from Castletownbere with shops and pubs. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I stayed just about a week at this lovely home just outside of Castletownbere. The house was immaculately clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. The house had everything we needed, including a new washer and dryer, and made our stay very comfortable. The location was perfect for us to discover the Beara Peninsula and surrounding areas. We are very highly recommend this home to anyone traveling the Beara Peninsula area of Ireland.

A lovely propriety on the beautifully wild Beara Peninsula.

My family enjoyed their stay in this welcoming and cosy cottage. They particularly appreciated the proximity and easy access to the sea, the walks in the woods, the mountain near by and the friendliness of the local people.

A pleasant place

We enjoyed the stay at this pleasant and quiet place near the coast, with deer in the garden one morning. Nice rooms and well equipped. Shopping and pubs in Castletownbere just a few miles away.

Winter Break

A very special spot

The 10 days we spent here provided my wife and I with one of the most enjoyable vacation/staycation experiences we have ever had. The location was serene, the house incredibly comfortable and the surrounding and nearby scenery, breathtaking. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

wonderfully secluded, marvelous setting

it had everything we were looking for. The local town was close by with a variety of offerings. Beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. Privacy was a big plus, we were able to enjoy our experience on our terms. Anne was warm and welcoming.

Perfect location, beautiful well maintained and comfortable house. The sea view from the sun room, the constantly changing light is so relaxing. Check in so easy, Anne is so helpful . Wish we could stay longer.

Sandmount exceeded our expectations. From the three very comfortable bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and wonderful sunroom it had everything we needed for a relaxing time while we explored the Beara Peninsula. Highly recommended.

The cottage was spacious and great for four friends staying together for a week of walking in Co Cork. All the needs that are required ie. towels, sheets, kitchen utensils etc, were there. The kitchen was fully supplied with dishwasher tablets and a washing machine working perfectly. It's a 10 min drive from Castletownbere so no walking to the nearest pub/restaurant. A taxi ride to go into town. A beautiful location and a lovely spot to have time away from it all. I'd definitely go back

Summer Break

We had a wonderful holiday in Sandmount. The house was very well equipped and extremely comfortable for my family. The location is so peaceful with a small stony beach a short walk away. It was a great base to explore the Beara peninsula and I can highly recommend it. We hope to return.

We loved our time over Christmas at Johns house.

The caretakers and owner were so accommodating and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked. The house was perfect for us! The sweet little town close by was great for picking up extra groceries. We would highly recommend.
