Modern Mountain Retreat at Snowshoe Woods - Tri River Hideaway just 2 miles from down-town Talkeetna

We are excited to offer this serene hideaway to guests seeking a relaxing, comfortable, and spacious retreat while having fun exploring nearby rivers, trails, national and state parks, as well as the unique shops and food options in historic down-town Talkeetna.

Guest privacy is provided by the 2.3 acre lot located high on a hilltop in Talkeetna’s forest canopy. Enjoy sweeping views of amazing sunsets while BBQing or possibly a stunning aurora display while sipping some hot chocolate from the large west facing deck. Located off the great room, the spacious deck provides the perfect place for guests to unwind from a busy day of adventure.
Built in 2023, this 2,300 sq ft. modern hideaway has all the comforts of home:

Amenities inside include; baseboard heating, wood stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, induction electric cooktop, microwave, kitchen fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, washer & dryer, televisions in the great room and upstairs guest bedroom, plenty of lighting, and a fan in each room.

Amenities outside include; Private, flat road below the property offers extra and ample parking for snowmachine or boat trailers. Propane BBQ, table and six chairs (stored during winter). Snow shovel and traction sand are available for use outside during the winter.
Winter Guests: Please notify property owner if you plan to use the private road for additional parking to ensure the road will be plowed for your use.

Please note this property is located in a residential neighborhood. Parties/events are not allowed, and quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

This home is by far the nicest one we’ve stayed at on our many visits to Alaska!! It is immaculate and well stocked, down to the soft comfy blankets to snuggle under. The beds are queens and a king, which is hard to find, and bathrooms were roomy and stocked with shower toiletries. The hilltop setting makes you feel like you are in a treehouse; we loved sitting on the deck and listening to the birds. It’s a perfect location, too, just a quick hop into downtown Talkeetna and to lots of hiking trails, with easy access just off the Talkeetna Spur Road. Will definitely stay here again when in this area.

It was an amazing place, house is beautiful and super clean. The only thing that we all would suggest (8 coffee drinkers) is more coffee mugs. A cutting board would be nice too. We had a fabulous time, close to town, very peaceful and beautiful.

Stunning Retreat

An absolute fantastic property! Communication, check in and our overall experience was simply wonderful. We loved the newness, cleanliness and what we felt as isolation however close proximity to Talkeetna to enjoy the daily activities! We will be considering a future return!

5 Stars – Thoughtfully Stocked, Beautiful Home in a Great Location!

We had such a wonderful stay at this home, truly one of the best vacation rentals we’ve experienced! The house was clean, beautifully decorated, and so cozy. It didn’t feel like your typical rental; it really felt like a home away from home.The location was perfect, and the hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful touches and generous amenities. We appreciated having an abundance of towels, both in the bathrooms and kitchen, and it was such a nice surprise to find games for the whole family to enjoy.We also really appreciated how responsive and kind the host was. We left behind a couple of items, and they were quick to reach out and help coordinate their return, amazing hospitality!Overall, this home exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing, well-equipped, and welcoming place to stay.

Close to Talkeetna

Very nice, clean property with plenty of room. Very close to Talkeetna for a quick drive to town. Worked well for launching to Petersville, north towards Denali Park, or Denali Highway for day trips. One master with a king bed, the rest looked like full size or queen (everything looks small sleeping on a king). Would make a nice winter launch point for snow machining, but does have a steep driveway to navigate. Otherwise an awesome house in new condition. Highly recommend!

Beautiful!

This is a beautiful and thoughtfully designed new construction home in a great location. We loved all the details from a well-equipped kitchen (with coffee provided!) to the decadent hand soap. Excellent space to spread out, big table for us to sit around, lots of big beautiful windows and an outdoor deck. The beds were super comfy with beautiful linens and towels. Appreciated the laundry too!! The location is just a couple miles from Talkeetna where you can walk the shops and cute places to eat/drink. Super close to great hiking trails (we used AllTrails app), and Talkeetna Air for our tour of Denali (which we highly recommend!). One hour to Denali State Park
again hiking where you get best views of Denali/Mt McKinley. And a couple hours to Denali National Park where we went River rafting and went hiking (all an easy day trip). I can’t rave about this property enough!
