Unwind in Princeton at our Mississippi Hideaway! Located along the River in Princeton, IA you will experience beautiful views of the River from almost every room of this charming home.
Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail on the relaxing front porch. Completely screened in and furnished with a swing and lounging chairs you will overlook the main channel of the Mississippi River. You will experience barges, boaters, and wildlife along the river. The Living Room also offers great views through two large windows facing the river. Kitchen comes fully stocked with all the essentials. The bedrooms also offer great views of the river. There is also a back deck with patio table, chairs, and a gas grill.
House is 8 minutes North of Historic Le Claire, IA which offers great shopping, dining, and recreation. 2 local restaurants, 1 within walking distance, and river access make this a great small-town spot to get away and enjoy the river life.

This place is so awesome, clean & very updated. Beautiful view. All that we needed for a fun girl's weekend! Would recommend 100% staying here. Host Chelsea was very helpful with her direction.

Chelsey's place is very clean and nicely decorated! Bath towels smell fresh and are soft. It was great to sit out on the screen-in front porch!

The kitchen had everything we needed and two cooks had plenty of space to work. The living spaces were open yet cozy. The beds were very comfortable. The screened in front porch was lovely with a nice view. There is also a nice back porch area. The property was very clean. The quiet neighborhood suited us. It was easy to get to surrounding communities like LeClaire and Davenport. The host was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. We would absolutely stay there again.

The Mississippi Hideway was just as charming as its little town of Princeton Iowa. The host did not miss a detail with the added little amenities - from condiment packets to personal hygiene items. The house was clean, the decor was on brand and the beds were comfortable. We loved seeing the trains and the boats. We can't wait to visit again.

Wedding Weekend

We had a lovely visit for the Frazer-Johnson wedding at the barn. The kitchen was well appointed for making breakfast. The porch swing with a river view was a serene spot for morning coffee. This historic home was charming and the hostess communicated quickly when we had a question.We highly recommend.

Our Mississippi stay!

The Property was classic for our Mississippi River Stay! We even got to see the boats and barges going up and down the River from the screened in porch! However, we didn't see the stairs in the pictures and had one person unable to climb the stairs up to the bedrooms. Maybe add one photo of the stairs so people find it obvious. Just a suggestion to make the stay even more excellent!Kindly

We came up for a wedding and had trouble finding a hotel room because of a concert being the same weekend! So we looked on VRBO, and I’m so happy we did! Chelsey was super accommodating and flexible and made an exception for our *slightly* larger group to stay since it was mostly kids and let us check out late on Sunday so we didn’t have to find something to do for 3 hours in between check-out and meeting a family member for lunch! The house was clean, she had snacks waiting for us in a basket on the counter when we got there, the beds were comfy, and her check-out process was super easy, with just a few simple requests listed. The two main rooms on the upper level have mini splits installed which was really nice because I like a very cold room to sleep in at night. We spent 85% of our time on the screened-in front porch, which was my favorite part of the house! I loved the porch swing and spent both mornings out there reading. The house is adorable and has so much old home charm! We also loved the big bathtub to soak in! Dollar General is less than a mile away and Casey’s is even closer, which was great when we forgot to grab a couple things. There Is a pocket park across the street to sit and look at the river and we also really liked having the bags game set up in the basement! It was something different to keep our bigger kids entertained. Can’t say enough good things about this stay! We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend and we would definitely stay here again!
