Hello Sue, this extended essay of dishonesty was, unfortunately, not unexpected following our refusal to pay for your illegal act of parking on the sidewalk. I would note that none of these alleged issues with the home were ever mentioned to us. In fact, to quote from your first communication with us "While we’ve been having a great stay here in Kissimmee. We’ve had an issue with the parking situation resulting in tickets.", it would seem that you quite enjoyed the home until we refused to pay the ticket you received for breaking the law. We do not take responsibility for guests who commit illegal acts while staying in our homes. We expect all guests to follow all laws. Just as in courts of law, ignorance of the law is no excuse. It is unfortunate that Sue decided that she would take revenge (with this review) rather than taking responsibility (for her actions).

Thank you for taking the time to write this review Markus. It is unfortunate that you chose not to contact us prior to moving out of the home. If contacted, we are happy to assist guests in reviewing and corrected issues identified. It appears that you were not happy with the home that you had rented and would not have been happy regardless of any improvements we would have made, so chose to wait until you had found another home more to your liking before advising us of your concerns. In fact, you did not really detail your concerns to us even when you advised you had moved out. You also did not cancel your stay through VRBO, so we were unable to rent the home to another guest for the remainder of your stay. if you had contacted us or VRBO with your concerns prior to leaving the home and we were unable to rectify your concerns, we would have been able to refund you for the balance of your stay. Unfortunately, we were not contacted until after you had left and VRBO was not contacted until two weeks after your departure so we were unable to refund the balance of your stay.

Thank you Lisa for taking the time to spread these lies about me. As you well know, VRBO investigated your complaints not once but twice, and found absolutely no substance to your complaints. I never told you that a prior renter had the same concerns because no prior renter had voiced any such concerns. I did tell you that the home had been treated for ants one week before your arrival. You did not cancel a day at Disney to wait for anyone because my operations person went to the house and treated it and you were not there. Further, you sent a message to me the following day asking if anyone had been there to treat it, complaining that the situation had gotten no better. Contrary to your claim that I then ignored you, I then sent my operations person again and your family was home when she treated it again for you and she advised your adult children that you needed to keep the house cleaner as there was abundant food left on floors and countertops. I then followed up with you a few days later to make sure that the situation with the ants had improved because I had not heard from you. Again, contrary to your assertion, it then took you three days to respond to my inquiry and only then did you threaten to try to ruin my business if I did not give you a full refund. In addition, I sent work orders to our professional pest control contractors to treat it after each of your messages. Again, contrary to your assertion that I tried to claim for pre-existing damages, I put no claim in for the damages you did to our home. I did ask you for the pictures that were allegedly taken so that I could confirm the issues that you alleged and you refused to provide them. You directed me to VRBO and I also requested them from VRBO, however, they were also unable to provide me with any pictures, likely because they do not exist. You then twice tried to claim a full refund through VRBO and you were refused. There was somebody trying to run a scam in regard to this stay but it certainly was not me. On the other hand, I provided to you many pictures of the mess that you left. This guest was, quite frankly, disgusting. Upon their departure, we had to spend hundreds cleaning the house and replacing items that they had soiled or broken. We have hosted thousands of VRBO guests over the last 12 years and these guests would be among the 10 or 20 worst guests we have ever had in one of our homes.

Thank you Sheila, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. Although not exactly in the middle of nowhere, this is indeed one of the most distant houses to the parks and is priced with that in mind. Disney should be 30 minutes or less, however, Universal and Seaworld would be close to 40 minutes as noted. At our inspections before and after your stay, there were sufficient plates, bowls and pots for 6 people, so we aren't quite sure what the issue was in this regard. Our homes are professionally treated for pests on a regularly scheduled basis and if we are contacted about pests, the company will return to treat it again within 24 hours.
