Multi-generational family trip

Great property in the middle of bay point - our family loved the house and overall experience. The house/kitchen were well appointed with spices and other pantry items. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful home and owners

I have repeatedly stayed at this home and it's always been a wonderful experience. Clean and comfortable home close to both the beaches and the boats. A caring owner who makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend staying here if you want to have a great summer vacation.

Staycation

This home was the perfect place on the lake. We were able to easily and effortlessly get to the beach, pool or dining with 5 kids under 5. The manager was always available and helpful with any of our needs.

This is a wonderful, clean, and quiet community. Some things were closed due to staffing shortage, but that's anywhere you go post covid. We would stay here again.

Great Spot for a Family Vacation

We stayed here with the extended family - grandparents down to toddlers. Baypoint is a great place to stay. There are two pools, a beach, a playground, a small market, and a restaurant in the resort. The house was clean and accommodating, and the owners provided everything we needed for the pool and beach. We could have left our own beach toys at home! I'd definitely recommend this property to others.

Birthday Celebration

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bay Point. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The pool and clubhouse were right around the corner and overlooking the bay was so relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen layout made cooking and eating together a breeze. We enjoyed being able to sit outside together on the front porch. Can't wait to get back again.

Our happy place

Our family returned for a 2nd stay on Cove Ct. It was just as satisfying as the 1st visit, with the added amenities on site being open this time. The owners are a delight to work with. The house is situated perfectly and amply stocked with what you need. Strong suspicion that we'll be making a habit of visiting our "home away from home"!

Exceptional!!

This property was even better than advertised. Even with COVID restrictions in place, we had a fabulous time together! The house was spacious, well-equipped, and relaxing! Nobody wanted to leave! We can hardly wait to come back again because we enjoyed ourselves so much!

Great Home and Owner

Villa was a great place for hosting my family reunion. Home was clean, connected, and comfortable. Lots of beach toys and games for kids. Kitchen, dinner area, and family room were large and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable. Location was excellent. Very close to both a pool and beaches. The owner (Kim) was both friendly and caring. She was very concerned about guests having a wonderful time. Entire family enjoyed their Bay Point week.

Home was large and accommodated our family so well. Property needs some updating. Carpets and furniture need cleaned, overhead fans not working well, dirty refrig upon arrival and some drawers broken in refrigerator. Many other things that need to be repaired and updated. Master closet nearly usable since it was filled with linens etc and totally unorganized. Garage door is not working properly and we had to spend time with repairman and it still did not work well. Overall this property could be very nice if some money and time was spent to get it in better condition. We rent often and were somewhat disappointed.

Hi Linda, I am sorry you felt we could have improved upon some items. We will certainly address your concerns! I do appreciate the time you spent with the garage repair person - I got him out there as soon as possible when you told me you had trouble with the garage door, but certainly could have waited until after your stay if you preferred. We were not aware of the fans not working well but we will get someone out to look into it right away as well as reorganize the linen closet. I know you mentioned at the end of your stay that you would like to rent next summer. I'm sorry we couldn't accommodate the July 2025 weeks you were looking for but if anything opens up I will let you know. We have new couches on order for the 2025 season as well. Absolutely Spectacular Family Week

Every summer, our family of 21 gets together for a week of family time. We rented this villa and it was the BEST week we have had in the 5 years we have stayed. The property is amazing and extremely well-equipped with great amenities and extras galore. It has everything you need for a perfect Lake Erie family getaway. Our kids (young cousins) loved sharing the bunk room and it gave moms and dads the ability to have some privacy as well. The other bedrooms were well-appointed and beds were comfy. The place was clean as a whistle upon arrival. The front screen porch was also a nice feature and the various gathering spaces worked well for our group. Many extras here - kayaks and fishing gear for enjoying the nearby bay, a 6 person golf cart (for an additional rental fee), a large gas grill and a outdoor griddle. The community itself (Bay Point Resort) is gated and lovely with access to a pool and pool house with gym equipment, a market, a tiki bar with live music, a sandy beach, a waterfront restaurant with more live music on weekends. There is a park for the littles as well as lovely and amazing in sunsets over Sandusky Bay. If you are looking for a wonderful place to enjoy all that Lake Erie, Marblehead, Catawba, Cedar Point and the islands have to offer, this is a perfect option.

Perfect Vacation

Our stay at this Bay Point resort was exceptional. Our accommodations were perfect. The house was very well-maintained and very complete for all of our needs. Our host was extremely accommodating and made sure that we had everything that we needed for our stay. There were nine people in our group ranging an ages from 73 to 11 years old. Even with nine people we did not use all the beds. They were very comfortable and we all had a good nights sleep every night. The house was well air-conditioned and we loved the screened in porch. The house was very well equipped with anything that you may need. It even had a golf cart that we were able to use when we went to the beach. Since they were nine of us we brought our own chairs and our own beach towels. Any other linens or towels needed in the house were provided. The kitchen was also very equipped with anything that we may need. There were also plenty of outdoor games provided by the host to keep us busy. The pool and clubhouse were very relaxing after a day on the beach. I would definitely rate our accommodations as outstanding. And I hope to return with my family again in the future.

Pros: The house has a great layout and accommodated 6 adults and 5 children very well. Owner was responsive. The location and amenities of this community are great. Cons: We were disappointed in cleanliness of house and lack of some items, some of which I had emailed ahead of time to ask if they would be available and was told they would be. Most of the bathrooms didn't have hand soap upon arrival. (We did finally find some in a cabinet.) No laundry detergent at all. Each bathroom only had one roll of toilet paper so by end of week we were out and realized there were no extra rolls anywhere. Carpet and couches were dirty and spots on walls. Bed linens upstairs were also very low quality and old. One of the pillows was nearly disintegrated. Kitchen items have seen a lot of use. The oven had such a mess on the bottom that we had to actually clean it ourselves to be able to use it. We were told by owner that an HVAC check up appt was scheduled during our visit. They noted if we weren’t comfortable that they would reschedule. Not a big deal to us because it was scheduled for 12:30 and we’d likely not be there. This information was incorrect and the HVAC appt was actually hours after we were told it would be and we were not expecting it. We were also told a cleaning staff member would be there to let them in but they were not. Property would have a higher rating if better equipped with supplies and better cleaning.

Megan, we are sorry to hear about the supplies. We do keep extras in the house and our cleaner can always make herself available to deliver whatever a renter may have run out of. We are sorry about the HVAC company - they did not keep us abreast of their delay. I'll be sure not to have that scheduled during a renter stay in the future. Great location and property

My family and I love bay pointe. The house was big enough to fit everyone (2 families plus grandma and grandpa, 6 adults and 4 kids) and was within walking distance to the pool and small beach. The playground, marina and large beach we're a short golf cart ride away. Lots of fun!

Family Long Weekend at Lake Erie

Our family really enjoyed staying at this Villa at Bay Point in Marblehead. The property worked out well for us and had all of the extras that we needed. You have to go through a bedroom to get to another bedroom and that was a little unusual but not an issue. Easy walk to the pool and beach. Nice front porch. Clean and well equipped.

Great Stay

We had a group of 9 from age 7 to 72 stay for a week and everyone had a great time. The house was perfect, well stocked in the kitchen for cooking family meals, plenty of beds for everyone to sleep and have their own space, and tons of beach chairs/toys etc in the garage to use. The house was 3 homes down from one of the pools in one direction and 3 homes down in the other direction was one of the beaches so a very convenient location. The owner was incredibly responsive to any issue or questions we had. We are already planning a return trip next year :)

1st trip to Lake Erie

Bay Point was beautiful and a great location! Beautiful views and lots to do in the area. The house was very nice and great for 10 people. The only thing we were not happy about was the cleanliness. Lots of cob webs and spiders throughout the house, baseboards on walls were dirty, bugs on the porch and some dirty dishes. Light bulbs were out in upstairs bathroom and used sparklers were left on porch. We overall had a great time and stay, just think it was overpriced based on cleanliness.

Hi Amber, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! I do apologize for any issues you had. We have a professional cleaner come in to handle the cleaning and I am very sorry you had some concerns. I do wish you would have notified me when you arrived so I could have gotten it taken care of right away for you. We pride ourselves on having a clean property and get comments from renters that they love how clean and spacious the villa is. We will ensure the cleaner wipes down the baseboards and checks the porch more thoroughly going forward. We also always have extra light bulbs in the closet in case any lights go out during your stay. I would have been happy to come over and change them myself! Please don't ever hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to handle any concerns or questions our renters have immediately if I am made aware. I think that's why we have many renters return year after year.
