Josette place is a lovely apartment and an excellent choice to stay at Manhattan beach. It’s walking distance to main attractions and you have your parking spot secure. She is an excellent host and Manhattan beach worths a stay

I had an amazing stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, convenient parking, close to everything I needed, but still quiet and peaceful at night. The host was incredibly responsive. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

Location, location, location! A wonderful location on a walk street. Very peaceful. Ocean view from the patio. Could easily walk to many venues in downtown Manhattan Beach as well as walk to the beach. Would gladly stay here again.

Better than advertised. The space was clean, fun, and the outdoor space was fabulous. Our hosts were accommodating and very friendly. A total pleasure. So close to all that Manhattan beach has to offer.

We loved our stay at this gorgeous place. It is spacious and had everything we needed inside (kitchen essentials) and for hanging out at the beach (chairs, towels, ice chest, beach bag). The location is probably the best part. We walked to the beach, restaurants, grocery store, shops and bars. Spent lots of time walking on the strand, people watching and admiring the beachfront houses. When we were tired of walking, we used Uber. The owner responded to my questions quickly and was so accommodating. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a fist bump!

What a great place in a perfect location. Walkable/bikeable to great beaches, shops, restaurants, etc. We stayed here for 10 days for my daughter’s beach volleyball tournaments and this was exactly what we needed. The bedroom was perfect for my wife and I, while my daughter slept on one of the couches. There is a pull-out in the living area, but my daughter preferred to sleep on the couch. For a one bedroom place, this is spacious. The front dining nook was a great area for me to get some work done during our stay. The front courtyard and bbq area was amazing! This was probably my favorite area of this property. Oh…the garage parking was so nice, too. Thank you so much for the opportunity to call this home for the past 10 days!

Very nice little spot. Great courtyard and spacious common area. We barbecued one night and picked up dinner and enjoyed with our kids who were also in the area. They have a table top cooking surface that we didn’t use. The sink is very small which made it a little challenging to wash dishes but manageable. They have a small apartment fridge now even though the pictures show a dorm fridge and it had plenty of room for our needs. Having your own secure spot in the attached garage made the stay even more convenient. The star of the show for us was the beautiful courtyard. Coffee in the morning. Dinner and enjoying the beautiful view was incredible. Josette was very communicative and easy to work with and we would come back in a heartbeat!

Ik verbleef hier met mijn dochter en het koppel leek heel vriendelijk. De woning was van binnen erger verouderd. Ik vind de prijs veel te hoog. Ons grootste punt was dat van alles niet schoon was. De stoelen waren niet schoon, de banken buiten zaten vol met vlekken, de banken binnen waren ook niet schoon, 1 was zelfs (eigenlijk wit) heel vies met donkere, grote vlekken. Mijn dochter wou nergens zitten, ook niet buiten en wou alleen op bed liggen. Ze trof een lange haar in de drinkglazen trof. Daarna kreeg ik een vieze schaar om verpakking van eten open te maken, toen iets naast het keukenkastje op de grond viel was het daar ook vies. Bij het bbq'n was het rooster ook heel vies, leek wel of er aangekoekt eten aangebrand aan vast was geplakt en ook een handdoek was vies . Het zag er allemaal verouderd uit en toen ik het noemde zei de eigenaar dat het een jaar oud was. Haar man zei dat ik kon cancelen en de vrouw zei dat ze wilt dat mensen er blij zijn en als ze dat niet zijn, dat ze dan mogen gaan en refund krijgen. Dus wij pakten gelijk onze spullen en vertrokken meteen na 1 nacht. Ik bevestigde in de app wat ze had gezegd: als je blijft, betaal je, als je gaat, krijg je refund. Ik kreeg slechts 2/3 deel van mijn betaalde geld terug voor de 2 nachten. Ze zei dat ze de rest betaalde aan Vrbo. Vrbo zei dat dat niet klopt en betaalde mij hun bedrag terug. Nog steeds mis ik ruim 200, ze weigerde, ze was niet eerlijk. De eerste nacht ook nog hoog tarief kwijt. Ze was boos.

We did our best to provide Yvonne with a great stay as we do with all of our guests. She had many requests and we did our best to fulfill them. As soon as we would fulfill one request, she would message with another one - this went on late into the night. At one point, she even messaged that there was a fire in the unit. We rushed down and to find that there was no such fire. She would also show up at our door, late at night and speak to us in a confrontational manner which was a little frightening for us. She demanded a full refund AND she wanted to stay in the unit for the duration of her stay, which was an unreasonable request. We explained that we could refund her for the remainder of her stay if she chose to go somewhere else. We did this because we felt unsafe with her there - not because there was anything wrong with our unit. We have our units professionally cleaned before and after each guest, and we personally inspect them to make sure that nothing is missed. From the beginning, we could see that Yvonne was trying to make a case in order to receive a refund. She made several claims that she was unable to provide any evidence for. We believe that she planned to make a case against us before she even arrived and that she is somewhat of a grifter. Yvonne came through instant booking and had no reviews. We've since changed our settings so that this cannot happen again - lots of lessons learned here.
