Discover this 2-bedroom gem in Salt Lake City. This historic house, originally built in 1891 but extensively remodeled in the 2020s, features an open design with a full kitchen and large counter space/seating area, 1 queen bedroom, 2 bathrooms with a bathtub and shower, a living room with a queen sofa bed, a small quiet bedroom with a twin bed, and a very big greatroom with a sofa, a dining table and ample windows. With amenities like WiFi, AC, heating, dishwasher, and washing machine and dryer, as well as off-street parking and an open back yard, proximity to downtown, the Salt Lake Latter-Day Saint Temple, to the University of Utah, and to five different hospitals, this comfy house is genuinely welcoming. The owner, a university professor, lives right across the street and will welcome you for a glass of wine sometime if you like.

What a neat little gem in a wonderful neighborhood! It was quiet and we felt very safe. We loved the fenced yard for our dog and the fact that there were a couple of parks nearby to take her for a run. Margaret was a wonderful host and easy to communicate with! We will definitely stay here next time we’re in the area.

Bigger than I expected! Was perfect for my mom and I as a base to explore Salt Lake area - comfortable, stocked kitchen, fenced yard was a bonus for dog friendly! Safe, cute neighborhood and host was very welcoming, accommodating and responsive!

Excellent property, with fenced in yard (for a dog), bigger than we thought, gourmet kitchen with advanced gas stove, just perfect for enjoying the quiet and coziness of the Avenues and the closeness of down town. Host lives across the street and seems to be known and celebrated by the entire neighborhood, always available for tilstand a good conversation. Highly recommended.

House was cute! location is near downtown but it is quiet and peaceful. The house itself was very clean and spacious. Backyard was great for our dogs to run in. Owner was always available for any questions or concerns. quick response time!

enjoyable stay

I booked this lovely house because it was near a friend and in a beautiful area of SLC. It is close to downtown and there are coffee shops and restaurants near by. The university of Utah is also a short drive away. You have hiking trails and biking near the house. I would HIGHLY recommend booking a stay here if you want to stay in a lovely, interesting house. Everything was well appointed and it was easy and comfortable. We will be back for sure.

As advertised this is a charming house in a quiet neighborhood. For us it was a convenient home base from which to visit several local ski areas with short drives, then the convenience of downtown SLC each evening for dinners.

Although I grew up on the East Coast in Washington DC and have lived in multiple other places, I moved to Salt Lake City for a job as a professor of philosophy at the University of Utah many years ago. This is a wonderful city surrounded by mountains on one side and broad deserts on the other, endless recreational opportunities and extraordinary urban delights, especially its symphony, its dance companies, its astonishing Natural History Museum’s collection of dinosaurs, and much more.
Why do I host for VRBO? I love meeting people from all over the world, and, because I live right across the street, will happily invite you for a drink of your choice when you are here if you like. Meeting new people is a great delight.

This is a very congenial neighborhood in which all the neighbors on this block know each other, a neighborhood in the historic district. Yet you can be downtown by car in seven or eight minutes or at the University in just about the same amount of time. It is a remarkably well situated location for enjoying this city and the surrounding wilderness areas.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

This little house spans a century and a half. It was originally built in 1891 and, located in the historic district, retains its simple front entrance and front rooms with traditional wainscoting and coziness. But the back end has been dramatically remodeled in the 2015s
– – a new modern kitchen, two new modern bathrooms, a great room that doubles as a second bedroom with wonderful light-flooding windows and a sense of space. It’s a kind of remarkable historic/modern combo that’s very comfortable to be in.
