The Space:
Recently remodeled and tastefully furnished in true Portland fashion, this main-floor Craftsman apartment has original woodwork, large windows, and a central Laurelhurst/Kerns location near NE 28th Avenue restaurants and Laurelhurst Park.
This booking includes 3 queen bedrooms and 2 bathrooms within a larger 4-bedroom main-floor layout. The other rooms are outside this reservation and should not be used, even if a door is not physically locked. Need more space? Message us before booking and we can help with the larger configuration if available.
The living room has a large TV, fast WiFi, and comfortable seating. The kitchen includes full-size appliances, a dishwasher, coffee maker, cookware, dishes, and a spacious island for meals or remote work.
Each included bedroom has a queen bed and its own mini-split A/C/heat pump unit. All running mini-splits in this unit should stay on the same mode, either heat or cool.
Good to know: this is part of a multi-unit property, and sound from other units can carry through the older structure. Upstairs or nearby movement, voices, cabinets, and kitchen/common-area activity may be audible, especially near the bedrooms. Light sleepers may want earplugs or a white-noise app.
Shared basement laundry is available, but it is not inside the unit and requires using the basement/laundry door and stairs.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay is already set up. If anything comes up, we're a quick message away.
The Neighborhood:
You're right off NE 28th Avenue - one of Portland's best restaurant rows - with Laurelhurst Park and its tree-lined residential streets just a few blocks south. It's a neighborhood where you can walk to a James Beard-worthy dinner, grab world-class tortas, and still be home in five minutes.
Laurelhurst Market is the anchor - a steakhouse and in-house butcher shop that's been a longtime Portland favorite since 2009. Go for dinner (the butcher-cut steaks are outstanding) or stop by the counter during the day for house-cured sandwiches and charcuterie. Güero is our favorite torta spot in the city - the carnitas torta and their hamburguesa were recently featured in Portland Monthly as one of the city's best burgers. Montelupo is a proper Italian market and restaurant with housemade pasta, an espresso bar, and a market stocked with imported provisions.
For a casual night, Big's Chicken does Alabama-style fried chicken from the same team behind Laurelhurst Market - the smoked whole bird and mac & cheese are legit. Crema Coffee + Bakery is a short walk for morning coffee and some of the best house-baked pastries in Portland.
A few of our favorites nearby:
🥩 Laurelhurst Market - popular steakhouse with in-house butcher shop
🌮 Güero - Portland's best tortas and a killer hamburguesa
🍝 Montelupo - housemade Italian pasta, market, and espresso bar
🌳 Laurelhurst Park - one of Portland's most beautiful parks, a few blocks south
Laurelhurst Park is a quick walk - 27 acres with walking paths, a spring-fed pond, and big old-growth trees. The neighborhood is well connected by bus, bikeable, and central to SE Portland's best districts. Hawthorne, Belmont, and Division are all a short ride away.
Getting Around:
🚶 Walking — Laurelhurst is one of NE Portland's most walkable neighborhoods. A few blocks to NE 28th Avenue for restaurants, cafes, and shops, with Laurelhurst Park a short walk south.
🚌 Bus — TriMet Route 19 (Woodstock/Glisan) runs right past the property along NE Glisan, with connections to downtown and across the city.
🚲 Biking — BIKETOWN bike-share stations nearby. Portland's bike lane network makes cycling easy and safe.
🚗 Driving — Free street parking is widely available. Rideshare (Uber/Lyft) typically arrives in under 5 minutes.
✈️ Airport — PDX is about 15 minutes by car.
