Hocking Hills' first lodge with Duck Pin Bowling! This newly-constructed, barn-style pool lodge has it all! With a nod to local history, Coal Mine Ridge pays tribute to an 1800's era when coal mining was life! Attention to detail and historic decor carries throughout the house with antiques and custom barnwood furniture and cabinetry in every room. The great room, which lives up to its name, boasts 40+ ft ceilings and Ohio-sourced, vintage barnwood. There is even an incredible game room with the Hocking Hills' very first state-of-the-art "coal mine" 2 lane duck-pin bowling alley! Outside you will find expansive covered patios with outdoor seating and a seasonal in-ground swimming pool- open Memorial Day-Oct 1st (optionally heated). Coal Mine Ridge can also be rented with Tranquility Ridge, Water's Edge, Hideaway, Secluded and Sterling Lodge within walking distance to accommodate 45+ people.

Very clean and well stocked bathrooms and kitchen. This was the perfect space for our 16 family members to celebrate Christmas. The hot tub and rec room are great amenities! We loved the long dining table for eating and game play! Would definitely return!

Loved giving the individuals that I take care of time away from home and experience the outdoors. Everything was clean and beds were like sleeping on clouds .

Facility was beautiful and spotless! Need a larger fridge, wine opener & ice maker

Loved the duck pin bowling, everyone had their own bathroom, and the wide open living space is nice and of course, the hot tub is close to the door! Our family had a wonderful weekend! Would like to have a cupboard to store our food. Thank you. We will be back.

Fantastic vacation with friends!

The beds were so comfy! The place was great! We had a little trouble with the stove but I contacted the owners & they responded immediately! We will definitely be back! Awesome place!

Excellent place to stay for our group of friends.

We loved that each bedroom had a king size bed and bathrooms enough for all eight bedrooms. The pool was nice heated. Lots of room and plenty of activities to enjoy. Would love to stay here again but we would have to rent another cabin close by as more of our friends want to join us next time. The only complaint was there was no way to hang clothes in the bedrooms.

Great Family Location

Our giant family thoroughly enjoyed this property! So much to do at the house as well as close by. The cabin was clean, spacious, and well thought out. The place had all the right amenities and very easy to get to. Plenty of parking in this beautiful setting! Thanks for a lovely stay!

The bar do was amazing! We loved the bowling, pool table and the swimming pool.

Everything was great! Very clean! With as big of family we could have used another refrigerator or large ice maker. 💜

The cabin was awesome and perfect size for our party , very clean and lots of activities to do

Pool and bowling was a lot of fun , the only problem we had was the pool gate lock would not open we called and texted several times and it just seemed like we kept getting the run around cutting into our short time we had this place .

Everything was great very nice place , great for a large group . The only problem we had was the lock on the pool gate would not open and trying to communicate with landlord was difficult because cell service sucked and going back and forth through messenger was a pain . And coffee pot was cracked . Other than that Everything was great

Coal Mine Ridge

The stay was great, large rooms, many bathrooms, very clean. The duck pin bowling and pool table were very nice. There were large outdoor patio areas with plenty of sitting room. The hottub was nice as well. The large fire pit with bench seating was also great. It was too cold when we stayed, so I cannot review the pool. The support staff was great and very responsive.

Severely unclean and plagued by a cockroach problem

During our stay, we discovered a live cockroach in the shower of one of the bathrooms and a dead one inside the refrigerator. The pool was extremely dirty and even had a dead rat in it. We chose to leave the house earlier than planned. I reported these concerns to the property manager but received no response. Based on this experience, I will not be booking with this establishment again.
