Beautiful beyond expectations! The grounds were gorgeous, right on the water with amazing views from every room! If there was one thing i would say was an inconvenience, were the "no seeums" on the island! They were bad! So stock up on bug repellent and itch gel! The unit was slightly dated, but felt like you were in 90's rich home full of marble and mirrors (everywhere). It was very well kept up and came with just about everything you needed. We brought our own coffee, which you will need, and got all our food/drinks we needed at the Publix before arriving on the island for a few meals we had in the unit. Restaurants were all amazing, gorgeous beach, pool and hot tub! One day we did a short drive to Captiva Island, had lunch at the Bubble Room and saw dolphins while were swimming in the ocean. Thoroughly enjoyed everything and everyone we met were super nice!

The unit is spacious and in a great location, just a few steps to the beach and easy access to shops and restaurants. The unit is dated, but comfortable. We enjoyed viewing the stars from the rooftop. As others have noted, the no see-ums are voracious all over the island. Long sleeves and pants on the roof are a must! Baby oil also offers some protection walking to the beach.Depending on the length of your stay, you may need to buy or bring trash bags, dishwasher tabs, toilet paper, hand soap, etc. Starter supplies are provided, but unlike other rentals I’ve stayed in, basic supplies are not covered for the entire stay. Just something to be aware of. Also, final payments are made outside of the VRBO system, directly to the management company, so be prepared for that.

CAUTION ! The pictures of the room make it look really great, but honestly, it needs to be updated. The room itself is great, but you are a prisoner in it between the hours of 4 PM and 10 AM. You cannot use the top deck after 4 PM or before 10 AM because of these horrible devil bugs that bite you constantly and there are millions of them. No-see-ems! The pool and the hot tub are great and is open 24 hours, but you cannot use it because of these bugs! We learned that the first night. even in the screen porch area is infested with them so you can’t sit out there and don’t even try walking the beach at night. We were wondering why nobody was ever in the pool and nobody ever walked the beach at night and we found out the hard way. Once again, the room is nice, but that’s your prison between the hours of 4 PM and 10 AM. The Jacuzzi tub is great, but it is very hard to get to turn on because the faucet is across the tub. The showerhead could use an update. The beach is nice when you can use it. The waters are not clear or blue. it reminds me of Daytona Waters with no waves. You cannot see the sunset from this room even with the rooftop. We looked for the moon for a week and could not find it. Definitely strange, especially with great weather. Just keep in mind if you go to Sanibel and stay at this location make sure you gear up with a hoodie sweatpants socks to go over your sweatpants and maybe even a face mask to go outside. We will never return to Sanibel. Good luck if u do go.
