This oceanfront one bedroom retreat in La Jolla’s Bird Rock offers panoramic views and rare private beach access. The bedroom opens to a private oceanview patio, while the bright interior includes a comfortable living area, full kitchen, and indoor dry sauna. Outside, enjoy a jacuzzi, built-in outdoor kitchen, lounge seating, turf sunbathing area, and a spacious lower deck just above the sand for a true coastal escape.



The Space:

Nestled in the peaceful Bird Rock neighborhood of La Jolla, this luxurious one bedroom, one and a half bathroom retreat offers breathtaking oceanfront views and private beach access at low tide. With direct access to a private beach, you will enjoy a serene escape just steps from the water. The spacious outdoor areas, shared with the main house, include a jacuzzi, a built-in BBQ for al fresco dining, multiple lounge areas, a hammock, and sweeping views of the Pacific.



The unit sits adjacent to the main house and is not fully private, as it shares outdoor spaces with another unit. Access the unit through the gate on the driveway and follow the stairs leading down to the entrance, located around the corner on the right side. Just outside, a furnished patio welcomes you with space to relax and take in the coastal surroundings. Inside, the open living space is filled with natural light and features a full open-concept kitchen, a dining area, and a comfortable seating area with a plush couch and flat-screen TV. Panoramic windows frame uninterrupted views of the ocean, creating a dramatic backdrop from every angle.



Up a few steps, just past the half bathroom, you will find a beautifully integrated dry sauna, one of the home’s standout amenities and perfect for post-beach relaxation. The bedroom, located upstairs, is a peaceful oceanview retreat with expansive windows, a king-sized bed, and a cozy seating nook. A private balcony extends from the bedroom and features outdoor seating, ideal for unwinding with a morning coffee or evening sunset.



The lower yard is landscaped with low-maintenance artificial turf and includes a shaded tiki cabana and loungers for sunbathing. Just below, a spacious deck near the shoreline offers additional seating and leads to a private beach via a natural stone walkway. Stairs connect the unit to this secluded beachfront spot, offering a one-of-a-kind setting to enjoy the sound of crashing waves and uninterrupted views of the horizon.

The Surf Shack, built by returning World War II surfers in 1947 for shade and aloha, is a historical landmark. Popular activities: • Surfing: Windansea Beach is known for its surf spot. Visitors can go surfing or bodyboarding • Sunbathing and swimming: Visitors can relax on the beach and soak up the sun or take a dip in the ocean. • Scuba diving and paddle-boating: Visitors can also go scuba diving or paddle-boating. Equipment can be rented nearby. • Beach photography: Windansea Beach is a popular spot for beach photography • Watching California sunsets: Visitors can enjoy the beautiful California sunsets from Windansea Beach • Exploring rocks at low tide: Visitors can explore the rocks at low tide • Kayaking: Visitors can take a kayak tour of the La Jolla Sea Caves, which are located near Windansea Beach Located just a few minutes from Windansea Beach is La Jolla Village, which is a popular shopping destination in La Jolla, known for its luxury boutiques, renowned restaurants, museums, aquatic attractions, and art galleries.



Getting Around:

Walk just a few steps to the beach or bike anywhere in the immediate and surrounding neighborhood! You are truly just steps from incredible shopping, dining, beaches and activities. Located just a few minutes from the Village of La Jolla, with exclusive shopping, world-class dining, museums, parks and aquatic attractions. You are also 30 minutes or less to the airport and to nearly all of San Diego’s most popular attractions.



Other Things to Note:

• Pack n' play and high chair available for rent - $25 each plus tax - Smoking is not permitted • Guest ages 25+ unless family groups• Parking: 2 parking spaces in driveway available for guests. • Pets may be permitted with prior approval and a fee of $150. • Events/parties are not permitted and strictly enforced. • Guest agrees that in outside areas there is no reasonable expectation of privacy and accepts the monitoring of the outside by security cameras. Guest agrees not to tamper with the security cameras. • As part of our standard verification process, we kindly request that the guest signs an additional agreement and verifies ID. Your comfort and security are important to us. • An additional 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit, 6276, is also available and can be rented separately or together for extra space. This unit sits adjacent to the main house, which is occupied, and shares some outdoor space.

• Payment terms vary by booking channel. When processed through platforms that allow us to manage payment directly, a 10% deposit is taken at booking, with the remaining balance automatically collected after the cancellation period, as outlined in the cancellation policy. For channels where we do not manage payment, the full reservation amount is due at the time of booking.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Everything was perfect-beautiful sunsets, relaxing sauna felt like we were staying at a spa, amazing ocean views from both floors, walks on the beach, welcoming host, clean and stocked home, bottle of wine on arrival. We didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back.

What a beautiful vacation home to spend time at with the oceanview in front of you at every moment. The amenities were all amazing and the unit was so clean and a joy to stay at. Max at NXT was wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. Other tenants were there but It seemed like we had the entire property to ourselves. We plan to try to book this spot again next year! Just amazing and beautiful and wonderful we will recommend this location to everyone we know. 10 out of 10 -we would go higher than 10 if that option was available!

The property is a clear 5. Truly amazing. There are however some things the owners could do to improve the overall experience (especially at this price point. The windows upstairs are filthy between the glass (still a great view but they need to replace these) and the fire place was out of service. Most important they need to add a handrail to get in and out of the shower (it is two steps down into a deep tub and the only thing to hold on to is the shower door which swings open) - scary experience getting in and out!! Additionally it would be nice to have a few extra towels (we did find one in the closet) and a Kleenex box.

You won’t be disappointed with this stunning home on the sea. Everything you need is right here:Gorgeous king size bedroom with panoramic view of ocean;Stunning views from first floor looking over the lawn down below;A beautiful patio just outside the door - the views of the ocean and beach are magazine worthy;A staircase descends to a magical space with an oversized lounge hut (with hammock), a dining table, outdoor kitchen and grill and ample lawn chairs. A key opens the gate to stairs that take you to a wooden platform Ed patio that’s literally looking over the beach. From there, you can pass through a green door to the beach itself. It’s a wonderland of nature - cormorants, pelicans and seagulls fly overhead all day and into the evening. My small puppy loved exploring the beach and playing frisbee on the lawn above. Truly spectacular. Properties like this are one-in-a-million. The neighborhood is gorgeous and if you turn left when you walk out onto Camino de la Costa, walk down to Pamona Street and there’s a beautiful beach there. I’d suggest renting a bike at California Bike in La Jolla (north of the Villa). Ask for Jason. Then bike all along the shore and up and down the beautiful streets with vintage bungalows and Star Jasmine blooming everywhere. A bike ride to Pacific Beach south of the villa takes about 30 minutes.Our favorite neighborhood was Bird Walk, a 15 minute walk from the villa.
